LoveToLearn Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Ok so post away, what are you doing right now? I'm on laptop (obviously) and watching a great film on ITV4 called Carlito's Way.
lionsl2005 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 oky, edugeek on my Thinkpad T60. configuring ma new vio cs110E. hee heeee, lightly having headache....
dalsoth Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Typing this very sentence.... No really, I am studying at the moment. Waiting for the GF to get back from a gig also. Drinking tea and resisting the temptation to turn on the tv to see if Carlito's way is still on!
Crispin Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I'm tuned into last.fm. Discovered it a couple of weeks ago, really good at finding new music to suit your own taste. Turns out I really quite like 50s and 60s female singers like Janis Ian, and german electro. How bizarre.
IanT Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Sitting in front of my computer waiting for a phone call from the GF to pick her up from a friends................at 12:30 at night
laserblazer Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Trying to pack all the stuff my daughter wants us to take out to Portugal tomorrow! Cheese, Instant Deserts, Cuppa Soup. Not to mention all the kids Xmas presents that they didn't have room for. We have to make do with the minimum of clothes. Still the weather forecast is good.
mac_shinobi Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 just listening to disturbed and relaxing - probably watch a movie in a bit.
DrPerceptron Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Playing around with a multi-touch trackpad on the new macbook (watching SpongeBob SquarePants!)
sparkeh Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Hanging curtains. Turning into a saga that the Norse Skalds would be proud off.
witch Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Also enacting a saga involving a Dell Poweredge, an IDE drive and Win XP As well as cooking dinner and vacuuming
tech_guy Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Writing my first java app for my android G1.
denon101 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Well at the moment not alot. But I am trying to be constructive. I am making a list of jobs for after half term and then prioritising them. Then if I still have the will to live I might have a think about doing some studying for me exams! ( actually almost no chance )
yabbadabba Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 After posting on here a few weeks back for some advice I am now making use of the hints & tips provided to create my own website. Its slow going buts it going in the right direction at least.
FN-GM Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Just fiddling with Moodle while recovering from a party last night
lionsl2005 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 just lying on bed n thinking what to do?
yabbadabba Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Needed a break from the web page design so wandered off and had a go at making some Cheese, Onion and Potato pasties and while I was in the kitchen put a home made Leek and Potato soup on the go as well. Pasties - 1st attempt and not bad, pastry was not as fluffy as I would like and the filling needed a bit more ommph flavour wise. Soup - Awesome as its a regular recipe I use, just what I need for when I am out playing in the surf tommorrow on my Waveski.
russdev Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I currently got son on knee and we are watching Mickey Mouse Club House. All together Oh Toodles... Russ
DrPerceptron Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I currently got son on knee and we are watching Mickey Mouse Club House. All together Oh Toodles... Russ Toodles! Kid's TV is the best sometimes I used to love the rubbadubbers, don't think it's on anymore Clearing some space on my desk to fire up the G25 and have a big, fun blast around the Nordschliefe... or maybe Bathurst haven't decided yet.
maniac Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Deciding whether to have a lazy day and do nothing, or a productive day and do everything. I've got Tuesday-Friday off so it's no good starting big projects, and everything else is pretty much OK at the moment. Might go over to English and repair the few broken keyboards that we discovered on friday, once I've re-labelled all the laptops because kids can't resist peeling off labels on second thoughts, I might just finish this cuppa tea, although the site manager's got the radio on outside my office, and is singing every now and then. (He's serbian with a big gruff voice, so as you can imagine the outcome is not particularly pretty) Hmmm, holidays don't ya just love 'em. Mike.
TheFopp Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Sat at work.... twiddling my thumbs, reading Edugeek and Facebook... (it is half term so not an awful lot to do for the next 2 weeks). About to install a new Ultrium 3 Tape Drive after the last one's fans decided to pack up and its internal temp was hitting the 85C mark.... don't think that tape will be worth keeping! Fortunately HP are good at getting warrantied stuff replaced quickly.
witch Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 About to go away for two nights to nice hotel in...Oxford! It was a good deal, Oxford is lovely and not too far away which is an important point for us as mrwITch drives 75 miles a day to and from work. It's got a pool and everything The thing is, I will still need a whole week when I get back to do all the things I had planned for half term...ah well
Gatt Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 In midst of shifting my Server Cabinet from one end of the school to the other - on my tod I might add! Not an easy undertaking as it ways a bloody ton! (2 4U, 4x 2U, 2x 1U) and the OSPF route involves: Squeeze it out of current location, Down a 1 ft step (one of many) using a ramp, down 2 corridors, across playground, Down another ramp, down a corridor, up a ramp, through some doors, down a ramp, down 2 corridors, up a ramp into new location, squeeze into location and reconnect all servers - will prob need new network cable and 3 hrs to find appropriate ports on the hell that is the LEA's VLAN config'd Cisco Switches (lets just say that they threw all logic out the window and randomly asssigned ports - then refuse to tell us what vlan is assigned to what port!) # Why do this? becase this is the only place where there is adequate A/C for the servers.. School do not wish to spend money on installing suitable a/c in current room...
