witch Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 This year the holdiay seems very short - less than the normal 6 weeks - anyone know why? Most schools round here break up on Friday but we are here until Tues (which is my birthday, dammit!). Then teachers back on Sept 1 - I'll be back on Sept 2

mattx Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Broke up last Tuesday - have managed to clear out 40 gigs worth of crap already which brings my backup time to 6 hours now.... Been busy knocking up the usual scripts [ which is why I am quiet at the moment ] in regards to moving users to their new groups, creating users etc - I am ahead of my summer plans which is good. Just 7 switches to replace, 2 servers to update with gig cards and a few desktop images left......
leco Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Children break up this Friday and come back 3rd September, staff have two days INSET 1st and 2nd September. I have at least two weeks of work to do - my ICT suite is a tip because it has been "decorated" this week so all of that to clean and put back in place, plus all the usual stuff of cleaning server, profiles, moving classes up and making new ones etc. etc. But that's the bit I like best, with nobody in school (apart from the caretaker and cleaner, decorators, builders) and therefore nobody using the network I can concentrate on getting proper work done
