I would love to show the kids in school how to use a PC like this: to Play games, how to live stream, how to edit videos and upload content.

Something sparks the interest in Esports in school, get the kids into designing and coding games

Does only "owning" an ARM based Surface Pro X count as a good reason for needed a decent PC ;)

 

I think that qualifies you for getting a free computer from the government getting help with technology scheme. i think even a geobook is better than that.

I would give it to my son who is looking to move away from consoles and into a machine that can do more than just games - such as Creative Cloud and 3D Studio Max etc.

Does it run minesweeper or solitaire? ;-)

 

I'd use it for Photoshop and Video Editing and to replace my aging PC with something that meets Cyber Essentials requirements!

Its probably been 16 years since I owned a gaming PC. So if I win this I am going to be catching up with all the PC games I missed.

I'd finally be able to play all the games I have at a reasonable quality! And most importantly: Play Minecraft with ridiculously good looking shaders.

 

Oh, and a decent chunk of 3D modelling. Doesn't compare to shadered Minecraft though.

I've had a rethink about my reason.

I was wondering about whether this was the machine that would start The Matrix ... then I realised that it wasn't.

It is in fact Deep Thought ... and with it, I shall discover the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything!

I cannot go back to <512x texture packs, no Optifine, and stock shaders, and you can't make me

Vanilla minecraft is ruined, for I have experienced the future

I would give it to my son so he can run Avid Pro Tools and Ableton. He's always complaining that his £2K Mac is pants, but he still needs the Mac for Logic Pro work.
