Is there an easy way to convert or import .docx files in to .ExamText? We've had a lot of assessments over the past few years that gave us a .docx template to provide to the students for in the assessment, but the actual submission is done as a .pdf file. We'd like to move some of these assessments away from using Word if we can, mostly due to the lack of reliable offline auto save.

The winget install command has a -h/--silent flag. You can also include the --accept-package-agreements and --accept-source-agreements arguments to skip those respective prompts. Most software that I've installed via winget have accepted the --silent flag without issue, but it is effectively just running the executable with arguments specified in the repo, so if an installer doesn't support silent install at all there's not much you can do to make it silent.

We've also been using Dell docking stations, and found we have to discharge them from time to time otherwise they'll just refuse to do anything other than supply power. We've been trying to convince SLT to switch to SMART screens, and we have a couple so one thing we're going to try is running a thunderbolt cable between the laptop and the screen. Some of the screens have a thunderbolt port that supports a similar charging wattage to the docking stations.

Typically I use https://speed.cloudflare.com/ or Google's, but I've noticed that some ISP's are providing their own speed test sites and I'm hesitant to trust those.

For classroom PCs we typically just name it the [Room]WS[xxx], and the teacher's PC is [Room]REGPC. The room is typically something like 107, so the teacher's PC would be 107REGPC with the first computer is 107WS001. We try to draw a line through all the computers starting at the teacher's PC, so if we get a computer number we can quite easily find where it is physically. Other rooms such as teaching staff workrooms or admin staff offices typically either have the proper room number, or the purpose of the computer, whichever makes more sense. We don't need to add any further information to the name as we can either just look up the service tag on Dell Support, or check our own purchase records.

I'd finally be able to play all the games I have at a reasonable quality! And most importantly: Play Minecraft with ridiculously good looking shaders. Oh, and a decent chunk of 3D modelling. Doesn't compare to shadered Minecraft though.

We've found that the laptop (not the battery) needs to be discharged or "power reset" from time to time. Not sure if it's an issue with the laptop itself or the environment that it's being used in, but following HP's short list seems to do the trick for us more often than not. (https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/ish_1997208-1551050-16) Though I suppose this does boil down to holding down the power button with extra steps.
