I applied for four sites Monday

We had one set come next day but one of our devices has been stolen in transit

Two sites getting them tomorrow

Nothing for the other site so far

Is there still an issue getting hold of iPads? We ordered our allocation at the beginning of December and we've still received nothing. The head has just mentioned that the BBC is trying to supply devices from charity. Anyone else know anything about this?

Not through this scheme, but we ordered some iPads back in November and still don't have them.

Has anyone been able to order since they increased our allocation back to original levels. I had an email to say they had put our allocation back up but nothing to say I could order, when I then go on the DFE site it tells me I cannot order any.

Frustrating !!

Yes. Ordered our remaining laptops on Monday, had them delivered yesterday.

two usb-c charger ports (i.e. one on each side)

That's a nice touch. My desk would be neater if my laptop could charge from the other side!

Same here, had an email before Christmas for one of my Schools, placed an order for the 7 devices offered which arrived no issues. 4 days later, received another email inviting us to place an order for one of our other Schools, logged in to find the allocation had been increased and ordering was now open for all my Schools. After discussions with SLT at all Schools, not easy given the current situation and busy schedules, agreed the requirements and went to place orders but ordering had closed for Christmas! Couldn't access the site again until Tuesday morning, now I cannot place orders for any of my Schools.

DfE sent a generic email response that had no mention of SEN schools, it is a complete shambles which was confirmed by guidance yesterday stating children who lack devices are ‘vulnerable’ and can continue to attend in-person teaching.

Update: Seems my rant has triggered some action, just been invited to order all devices for all my Schools. Cannot order any iPads until Monday though.

I ordered in December. 5 days before holiday break and got delivered in 2 days. 30 iPads and 16 Chromebooks, 10 Windows laptops. The iPads appeared in my MDM next day. The licence for the Chromebooks were added to the G Suite next day too. I am actually very pleaded with the service.

I'm hoping to get my order in tomorrow. Hope to get 30 laptops (or maybe Chromebooks - still can't quite decide) and 8 iPads. iPads aren't available until Monday. Is it possible to place the order in two goes or do I need to do it all at the same time?

Yes you can do multiple orders, you do not have to order all devices at the same time.

The windows laptops that are available are these at the moment.

Our order of laptops arrived yesterday. For (presumably) a super low budget laptop, I'm pretty impressed with the build quality in the Dells.

The first batch of chromebooks had built-in filtering IIRC.

If you had them in your domains they would only do what your google domain told them to. they cant be configured outside of that

IIRC they came with a license for Cisco Umbrella.

This have gone in one of several threads, but this is probably best. It's my favourite tweet of the day so far.

Anyone else finding the DfE cancelling their orders due to wrongly being detected as being exceeding the allocation? I've tried emailing the DfE to report this and never getting any response :-(

Primary?

There on the back burner for another week.

I managed to just sneak my last lot in before they enforced it i think!

Has anybody managed to apply for more without doing it one by one?

I've no replies to my email to the DFE this week, I'd imagine they are snowed out
