Really? Only today I have had 5 parents E-Mail me for GSuite passwords, only for the same parents to E-Mail me again hours (HOURS!) later saying that their charges had forgotten the passwords they had chosen, and could they have another? How many tomorrow?...

I had made some of the materials too hard to find on our website though - fixed that after feedback.
mikeprice Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 OK - so lot sof idiots ignored all advise so Boris has made it compulsory stay at home Police authorised to stop people (I think) - fines etc for people who ignore it allowed out for food, medicine and 1 excercie thingy - only with people you live with and my wife got a text from the GP saying she is in the high risk group and needs to etc etc etc all in all - not a good day however it could be worse - another country (Italy or Spain???) only allows exercise within 200m of home - I suspect this will be next due to idiots who claim to be getting some exercise when they are 20 miles from home as long as I can still get out on my bike I'll be OK - I'll be avoiding paths where I pass people closely so I should be OK otherwise I will be a gibbering idiot wonder if anyone will notice???

Stopping international travel to the UK from China sooner wouldn’t have made a blind bit of difference. By the time it was realised there was a problem in China, people from the affected area had already left China. Any travel restrictions would have had to be applied by all countries in the world simultaneously as soon as the disease transferred to humans; that’s impossible. This was bound to happen sooner or later because human beings have no antibodies to the virus at all. And now the health system in every country needs to be protected from everyone getting very sick simultaneously. So isolation it is. It’s not a 1950s response; it’s the only thing that can break the cycle. My best friend with Crohn’s disease has moved out of her home today, away from her husband and daughters (one of whom is a nurse) because she cannot risk contracting the virus. People are dying already. Without this many, many more would die. It is is inconvenient being stuck at home. But it’s better than getting ill and not having a hospital bed available. I have friends with all sorts of illnesses that have been in their homes since the whole thing started in this country. One of my aunts is in hospital with an unrelated condition who may not make it and if she makes it out the virus will kill her off. My fuse is very short.... Fingers crossed for your wife. 3

There are still going to be plenty of numpties who won’t accept the guidelines and put other people at risk.

I spoke to the test centre last week and they had been told that they would be staying open (appointment 8.30am on Wednesday). I'll need a test or an exemption certificate by the end of the week... Turn the tide Flatten the curve Whatever it takes .... Might not have settled on one yet, but definitely still looking for a catchy the word phrase.
