I agree , do not ever use Ebuyer there tactics are unreal.

I returned a new motherboard that I had for less than three days due to not being as I required. I used the UK distance seller law to do this , however because Ebuyer are petty they tried to send the motherboard back to me saying there was physical damage to it , I asked what the so called physical damage was and they told me it was incorrectly shipped back and thus had caused the CPU socket to have bent pins, I was shocked I could not believe the tactics they would try to not accept a return. I then proceeded to explain that not only had I shipped the motherboard back in bubble wrap and a box , but that the motherboard was protected in its own box and also there is a CPU socket cover to prevent any damage to the CPU socket pins , I also provided pictures of postage proof and packaging . I got no where with there rubbish customer services so I started a PayPal dispute as I wasn't going to let £281.00 go . I won the case as expected and in doing so enraged Ebuyer customer services and then they closed my account down in a final petty response ,

I would never use Ebuyer again however what a petty bunch of so called professional people!

I've brought tons of stuff from ebuyer over the years and never had any problems! I had a fault with my new 2080 ti contacted them and they were good as good can be! (later fixed the problem after finding it was dodgy NZXT software causing my PC to crash...)

You were one of the lucky ones then ,

after looking at online reviews and news articles , it would appear they are very known for this kind of thing and rate there staff on not excepting returns.

I guess its a 50/50 you either have good luck or you don't with them , clearly you were one of the lucky ones

I've also had trouble with eBuyer in the past. We purchased 30 computers from them a while back. They arrived on a Friday; my technician and I started unpacking them on the Monday and completed the physical installation on the Tuesday. It became apparent that one of the computers was "dead on arrival", it refused to power up. I contacted eBuyer to notify them and arrange the return of the one computer. They refused to take it back, stating that their terms & conditions require them to be notified of any faults within 48 hours of delivery. After several emails and telephone discussions with customer services they point blank refused to help.

I won't use them for bulk purchases again, so they have lost out on a lot of business all because they wouldn't accept a return of a computer worth less than £300.

I have also been pleased with eBuyer. Yodel delivery led me to open a claim as Yodel said they had delivered and got signature even though they had not (I was in all day) , eBuyer had no reservation in sending out the goods again.

Never had to return anything however.

Yes I have seen this and can totally believe it after having dealt with them over the past few days with this issue.

I also have ordered lots of items over the years , this however was my first return , but after reading reviews online I see there is equal amounts of negative reviews for the same thing if not more than positive reviews.

They are fine until you have to return anything. They try to wriggle out of everything from trying to make you go to the manufacturer for a warranty claim, blaming the delivery companies (well it is Yodel, so what do they expect).

It's the same reputation a lot of insurance companies have, they are great until you have to make a claim, when you realise they were actually crap.

Back years ago they had a really bad rep (in the days before Amazon Prime and when Maplins, dabs.com etc were still around) but they seem to have sorted that out in recent years. I've had issues in the past, they eventually sorted them out.

I wouldn't use them for mass purchases to be honest just based on past feedback and experience. But for cables, etc the standard stock stuff they're OK.

Used ebuyer for years, then had an issue had to return and item and it was like others have said unreal. Tried to keep using them but quickly had another issue and poor customer service leaving me no choice but to stop using them.

I used to put almost all of my budget through MISCO, but they got funny about the WD hard drives (when they had the failure issues) They made me ring WD wait and hour run a test on phone support before they'd accept a return. After that I never bought a thing from them. They lost a £20k per annum customer over a £100 fing hard disk.

Me too. Misco were quite good. Then they were terrible. then they went bust!

Using ebuyer for twelve years plus. In that time returned many items without any problems. My main gripe with them is delivery through Yodel. Have asked them not to use Yodel but alas still continue. Interested, to find out who you use as an alternative? My business manager allows me to use the ebuyer online purchase method which assists with speed of order and without to much paperwork. Looking at something similar to this order process.

We have started using VeryPC for our bulk purchases and our experience with them has been very good. Friendly customer services and quick delivery. I haven't need to return anything to them yet ("touch wood") so I can't comment on the returns process.

Never had an issue when I do buy from them, although Amazon tend to get a lot of work now due to having Prime.

The thing that bugs me with eBuyer is they don't have a collection facility, I drive past their Head Office site several times a week and would be easier to pick stuff up, I know it comes from different warehouses but would be easier.

For work we use the Softcat online portal called eCat. Usually cheaper than eBuyer as well.
