FAQ (before you ask, right?):

  1. One free pair per person - even if you fill in both forms, sorry.
  2. Work email addresses only I'm afraid (it's a compliance thing for our communications).
  3. Whilst stocks last blah blah
  4. UK addresses only (sorry internacionales)
  5. Yes @ICTDirect_Dave of course you can claim a pair! Get over there now mate.

Why do people make such a fuss about this? JC* himself wears socks with sandals.

Looking forward to a new pair of bed socks - the last two are getting to be more "darn" than "sock".

*Jeremy Corbyn, not Jesus Christ - though both sport beards, had problems with Capitalism and angered the top bods of a certain faith.

Reading this just made me burst out laughing!

Reason?

Well I'd read the first post and immediately gone and cheekily filled in the form, only to come back to read the rest of the thread and find that you've already thought of me.

Top man Al! :)

That's a good point. Yeah our form and other fancy business databasery will reject all the common free and ISP based email domains, BUT...

You can drop a PM to our EduGeek account with your name and postal address and we'll sort you out with a pair when they arrive (est. middish October).

Any other EduGeeks who are retired or otherwise not currently in possession of a work email address can do the same, but please do use our form if you can: https://very-pc.co.uk/claim-your-socks-edugeek

A handful of PMs is no bother, but I've learned from experience that it's an administrative nightmare to run a large giveaway/competition via PM submissions.

Thanks for making us think about this @mikeprice 👍

Cheers,

Al

Submitted please check. Two issues, 1) poxy small iPhone screen and non-responsive so after clicking I am not a robot it jumped down to pretty pics as though all was done. So I’m sat there looking at the pics thinking that’s a clever form where the reCapture auto submits - hang on! Scroll right, aah! 😂

2) I can’t avoid ISP email so don’t know if your jiggery pokery will catch me out 😝

Thanks for socktober again ;) 6-11 in case it matters.

I can't claim them :/ there is a tick box for 'i'm not a robot' :( #EndDiscriminationAgaisntRobots

Edit: I got a human to tick the box for me under threat of extermination.

Edit 2: He got exterminated, he knew too much

Agreed. Aga isn’t robots 🤖 😜

Hi Vik,

Yes we've got your submission ✔

1) Hmm, the form is responsive (it looked fine on my android phone), but I guess some platforms might not play as nicely with it as others. The form itself is in an iframe (part of the TJP) which loads content a smidge later than the main page, so it's possible you get the odd bit of jumpiness as extra assets load or somesuch.

2) Not that kind of ISP - I meant the likes of Plusnet, BT, Sky, Virgin etc.

Anyway, it worked for you so the above points are now moot.

*It doesn't, they are all the same size (will definitely fit that size, though).

Cheers,

Al

I've just had a reminder to claim my socks, but I already have.

This might happen if we have multiple records in our CRM (from say, multiple email addresses or organisations). One record shows as having claimed, the other not.

Sorry for any confusion.

Ah! I support 3 schools, but only tend to use the one address.

I got one too, as I have multiple schools... I would register with that address as well to be cheeky, but it would be a little unfair to others. ;)
