New season for the EFL has started already but Premier League begins today and looking forwards to it, it will be a bit congested at the top of the table. Can't afford Sky but have BTSport and Radio 5 Live to tide me over!

 

I've set up a game on the score predictor on the BBC site (it has people from one of my Telegram groups too). Sign in with your BBC ID to take part. And yes, terrible pun... Predictor - Football - BBC Sport

We aspire to get to the premier league. On the other hand the championship is so close, some real quality and fun. I'm not sure I fancy being beat every week in the PL. and It's only going to Chelsea / City it Man U who will win it every year.

I can see City winning it, they've sorted out there big problem from last season which was their defence.

 

If Lukaku plays well for us and Pogba steps up this season as he has Matic behind him i think we will get 2nd, can't see us winning it this season

 

Rotherham on the other hand......... as long as we don't go down again i'll be happy!

I am in no way a Utd supporter but i can see them winning the title this year as much as it hurts me to say it. Jose has kept De Gea, snatched lukaku from Chelsea and have a knack for grinding out wins as per the Fergie era

I think that Utd could do it as well. Lukaku, Matic (can't believe they let him go to Utd) and, apparently, Zlatan back if his knee recovers... I think they look good

You can't support 2 teams! Rotherham going nowhere. No ambition and no money now. Chairman doesn't seem to want / be able to spend. And Paul Warne isn't an inspiring appointment.

I never understood why people say you can't support two teams, most people i know support more than one team!

 

My Grandad played for Rotherham (Aswell as Bolton and Wolves) but my Dad's side is from Rotherham so we support them, and my dad was Born in Manchester so supported United all his life (He's over 50 so not a 90s era glory supporter!)

 

But i agree, as much as Paul Warne is a club legend, he's out of his depth as a manager

I can understand wanting a team to do well, having a soft spot or even wanting them to win. But the team you support is in your blood. There can be only one!

 

Could be wrong on Rovrum (I live in Rotherham but from Sheffield originally so a Wednesday fan) - they could really play well and find a goal scorer to get them out of the league. Or they'll just go through the division and out the bottom end. It'll be one way or the other!

Well i treat them both equally, i could name most of the squad players for both teams along with the history of both clubs, They haven't played each other since 1988 (before i was born), so haven't had the dilemma of who to support if they played each other (The answer would be Rotherham obviously).

 

My old man acutally supports 3 teams!

 

Rotherham, Man U and Stranraer.

 

I understand where you're coming from, but i also think you can have more than one team in your blood. I grew up supporting 2 as my dad supported them both, but what if i moved to lets say Ipswich and i started going to watch their games after awhile i would be an Ipswich supporter. It won't be like 'O now i support Ipswich i have to drop one of my other teams'

 

You should be able to support who you like, but as long as you don't swap and change them that's just unmoral and wrong!

You can. My dad is from Preston so I've supported them since birth. My mum is from Perth and supports St. Johnstone and same with them.

 

But if you ask me which one I follow more it would be Preston.

 

I still support both but Preston more avidly.

Lifelong Bournemouth fan, my local team and been a regular visitor to Dean Court since 1980. One of thousands who put money in the buckets in the dark days to keep the club running and now enjoying watching the club slowly grow from strength to strength under Eddie Howe. If we carry on playing attractive football and finish higher than 18th each season then that's good enough for me. :)

My husband was born in Luton and has supported the hatters for life.

 

He also supports Arsenal though when we were at that League Cup final, he was a very happy hatter at the 3-2 win :)

 

There's a side interest in Swansea due to my Mum who I have grown up supporting.

 

Mum also supports Pengelli FC who her Dad coached. They're way down in Welsh minor leagues :)

I started by watching Palace and even went to the FA Cup final. But after moving away from Croydon I found myself with much less money and priced out of the Premier League, so I went to my nearest local team League Two Crawley (trip to Palace costs £55+ after travel and ticket, Crawley £15). It's no glory hunt, I get to watch and support local live football and have two reasons to hate on Brighton. ;) Plus they could use the gate receipts far more than a PL team.

 

Now when people change between two teams like Man City and Chelsea with no local links to either and depending who is top of the table, that's to be frowned upon.

I haven't seen a league knocking about for this years one, think there was one last year. I'd definitely join one!

 

If someone has renewed the league can the new joining code be shared?

I have BT but no sky sports. I bought myself a Now TV box and just pay for a voucher whenever I need it, ok, so you can't record or rewind but to just watch the match it's cheaper than going down to the pub :)
