It's a mobile AV editing suite case. The power cables would connect into converters, battery charging units, depending on what was being used. The right hand side has a place for a small 3 chip camera.

The one I used to play with was slightly large to also hold the external mic. A separate carry-all held the tripod and boom for the mic, as well as a storage box for the tapes.

Great - now I know what it was

wonder where all the other bits went??

anyway - we can use the Apple to go on the WWW I suppose but the case seems a bit surplus to requirements

What's this then. Should be easy as it's 'recent':

At last! I was just about to post up another clue. A brilliant phone at the time, especially for the price!

Never really used that little trackball though.

Haha yeah it's a Zune play button! I didn't think they were meant to be bad devices at all, just no real support or backing.

Yup. The poor old Zune. Not a bad device at all but was left standing my the already dominant iPod and smartphones. It just came late to the party.

Nnngh, I should of taken pictures yesterday morning. Just taken over support for a local primary school and I don't think anything ever got thrown away. For instance, in a box marked "Video bits" there was everything from HDMI > DVI adapters, HDMI and Displayport adapters to VGA>RGB adapters. Another box of random gubbins shared the common mini USB cables used for phones with centronics printer cables, BNC network cable, various 9 pin serial mice and what seemed like a couple of hundred serial to PS2 adapters. Also some larger bits like a logging system with dos 5 drivers. I didn't read the manual but I'm reasonably sure it was for the old RM Nimbus/Cub machines.
