I normally go on the Friday. Haven't enjoyed the last few years that much I might try and book into the keynotes etc more this year. I just find it quite frustrating, maybe I just really dislike sales people :D

After two years of limited attendance I'll actually be there tuesday afternoon through to saturday night.

We've got a delightful house in Wapping for the week care of AirBnb. Looking forward to seeing you all at the show and catching up afterwards with a load of you in the Prospect of Whitby.

Also, looks like we'll be trekking into london one night to tour a few amazing old pubs around the covent garden area. Any and all are welcome to join us! :)

Excellent. Make sure you BETT-newbies come and find us. :) We'll be stationed on the Smoothwall stand with free lunchtime pizza around 12 noon.

Excellent, keep me a couple (of pizza's not slices) :p

I should be down on Saturday.

Literally 0 chance of coming during the week.

For the very best of reasons. :) If you fancy joining us after the show in the week, just let us know!

Actually - maybe it should be BTRD - we don't want any 'managers' looking at these threads - we want them to think we will be working hard for the benefit of the school

Russdev shared a photo again a few days ago of me, him and Dos_box on the SSAT stand, meeting Ken Walsh and Tony Parkin ... 11 years ago!

The same year as HUGTB (Help Us Get To BETT - a series of Moodle evangelists who set up a pop-up stall to promote Moodle) ... and HUGTB was the inspiration for the EG stand at BETT.

No BETT for me this year.

I don't think the budget can stand the price of the train ticket, never mind the cost of anything I might decide I want to buy there :(

Having said that, I won't miss the hassle of trying to get out to ExCel. Must be one of the worst connected venues in London - the DLR just can't cope.

Tip I found last time though - couldn't face the DLR crush on the way out, so walked down to Royal Victoria and got the Emirates Air Line cable car over to North Greenwich and took the Jubilee Line back to Central London from there. Seemed to save time, and was certainly more pleasant!

On the back of this, a single trip on the Emirates Air Cable car is reduced to £2.50 for exhibitors and visitors to ExCel, for details clicky ExCel

I'll be going Wednesday with a teacher in tow, going to be driving as its cheaper than the train.

Useful to know! There's also a bridge you can walk across to get to West Silvertown DLR

It's a good bridge that. If a little chilly when you're up there. Great view of the planes landing at city airport :)

Also VERY useful when the rollercoaster is broken so you walk over to West Silvertown and get on the working line. The bridge is as featured in Silent Witness this week for anyone that watches it, the floating body was in the dock around ExCeL :)
