I'm trying to install Promethean Desktop for all users on a PC, however it seems to install for the individual user account only. Has anyone worked out how to do this?

Good afternoon hive mind, We're currently working on our policies to get Win 11 set up how we want it. I'm trying to find a way of forcing the start menu to default to showing all programs - any suggestions? Also any suggestions for other customisations to apply to make the end user experience better when moving from 10 to 11?

Unfortunately in this use case, Teams is not an option. Needs to be a standalone Softphone

I'm trying to find a decent and preferably free SIP softphone that will work on and Android phone, and that also connects to Android Auto. I'm currently using Sipnetic, which is fine in every respect, except it doesn't integrate with Android Auto Any ideas?

We have a small number of accounts created as "internal users" in Papercut as they are 3rd parties who don't exist as users in our domain. These account were only used for photocopying. Since the latest Papercut upgrade, these users can no longer see the "access device" button on the copiers (Toshiba), and only see print release. Can anyone advise on why this is happening, and how we can restore that access Cheers Iain

Unfortunately this made no difference.

Good morning all, I've just spent an hour checking all my servers are up to date, and have the following error on a small number of them:- 2025-10 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2019 (1809) for x64-based Systems (KB5070883) - Error 0xd0000022 Has anyone had this issue, or have a resolution for it? (I've tried reboots, update trouble-shooter, different accounts, manually downloading from MS Catalog but still no joy) Cheers

Good morning all, Over the half term, our PKI certificates were renewed. Since then, when building a PC from our MECM servers, the Confguration Manager client shows client certificate: None (whilst normally it wold show Client certificate: PKI) I'm not sure what has caused this or what we have missed when doing this, however hoping the hive mind on here can offer some insight into how I can resolve it Cheers

HI @MatthewL, THis is the article I was referring to about print queue security:- Best practices for configuring Windows Print Servers | PaperCut
-
Good afternoon hive mind, We have applied the print queue security settings advised by Papercut, however we seem to have an issue with jobs on one particular model of printer. Any jobs on queues using HP Universal Printing driver are being left in the queue after printing with a status of "sent to printer" Has anyone come across this, or know what the issue could be?

Good morning, all, We have a strange issue where users who have a redirected App Data are finding that Adobe InDesign crashes when opening. Accounts with local App Data, but identical in every other way seem to work correctly. has anyone else seen this issue, and if so, what was the workaround? Cheers Iain

Good mrnign all I'm busy working with quotas on our fileservers and can't seem to find an answer to this:- * We set a quota on the users home folder (mapped to a drive letter) * All folders are redirected into this home folder including App Data * I want to specifically exclude the contents of the App Data folder from the quota applied to the home folder Is there any way of excluding a specific subfolder from being counted?

I'm currently troubleshooting an issue with BitLocker and TPM on some of our machines being bult through MECM. * On first build (brand new machine), the process runs through fully with no issues. * If we subsequently re-run the MECM PXE task to rebuild the machine, it fails on enabling bitlocker with the following error:- If I clear the TPM keys in the BIOS, it will then run normally again. I'm lost why this is an issue

I've just installed FSRM on our main fileserver. I can happily set up quota templates and apply quotas, however as soon as I try to go into Notification Thresholds, the MMC console crashes.

Anyone running a SIP trunk for personal use?
neonetman replied to Davit2005's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I've just ported my number to Numberpeople.co.uk - first number free, then £1/month for each VOIP user and extra numbers. We pay for 1 VOIP user, which links to my home router (a FritzBOX with VOIP server bui;t in), and I can then add all my VOIP phones to that
