I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here, however this is my issue:- I'm wanting to change the file associations for a particular file type on a particular bunch of machines (irrespective of which user logs in). Setting it as a per user GPP is not an option, as there are other machines I can't have it happening on. Is there a GPO/GPP/Reg hack that can be run on a per-machine basis to make this happen? I've trawled through trying to find an appropriate option, but nothing I've tried seems to work.

We're having a similar issue. MHT files take an age to load, and often crash the browser before loading. As yet we've not found a fix.

Good morning, We've signed up for the Office 365 A2 plan for education (free with EES), and plan to use web-apps and sky-drive fro faculty staff. Our only issue with this roll-out, is we need to find out where the datacentres are located that are holding the data. I understand Microsoft have datacentres globally, however it has been mentioned to me that educational subscriptions are only hosted in the EEA. Does anyone know if this is right?

When you license using EES, you can get a free Dramspark subsciption. With the Dramspark subscription you can run Project. The only proviso with software from Dreamspark is that it is for teaching use only, and not for production use (e.g. it can be on computer lab machiens and ICT teachers machines, however those teachers couldn;t use it to manage real life projects)

We are currently investigating replacing our ageing printer provision in school. We currently use mainly Brother HL-4040 printers, as they are reasonably cheap to run and ahve proved reliable. They are, however starting to fail with age and overuse. Can you recommend an appropriate replacement for these beased on these specs:- * reasonable initial purchase cost * High capacity cartridges * reasonably cheap to run / replace cartrisges on. Our other option is to go for a leased cost per copy printer solution - would this be a better option?

I've a single suite of PCs in a 700 machine network that will not correctly get GP updates. Running an RSOP tells me computer policy has failed due to a GP Core failure. The machines are set to DHCP, as are all the student computer suites, yet no matter what I do I can't seem to get past this issue.
