We've looked at a number of solutions over the last few months, and under guidance from our County Council, have narrowed down to these two options. I'm now trying to get some wider input on perceptions of the two.

I'm looking at replacing our currnet wirelss system in school. I've now narrowed it down to a decisiton between Aruba and Meru, but am interested in peoples perceptions of the two, and which is the better solution. As always, we are not only looking at performance, but also getting the best "bang for buck" overall

Whilst using Outlook 2010 we have always configured users by group policy to use the "Default Formal" signature, allowign them to edit it though. I'm trying to do the same with Outlook 2013, and whist if you click on the signature button on a new email, it shows the signature as being set, and all the options greyed out - yet no signature apepars on the email. Everything looks right, but it just doesn't work. Can you please offer any suggestions what the problem and solution might be Cheers

I'm trying to find a GPO setting to automatically disable handwriting recognition within Word 2013. Our staff prefer to use the Smartboard software, however Word is taking precedence with it's own handwriting recognition. Hopefully someone else has cracked the issue previosuly

Thanks for your suggestions everyone =- it turned out to be something really simple. All the ports were configured as trunks, and a such weren't initialising in time for the PXE request. Once I changed them to access prots, everything started to work again.

Good morning all, I've reconfigured all our switches across school with 5 VLANs (default:1 , then additionals for VOIP, Guest aceess etc.). The ports are all set to trunk with default VLAN 1 Since doing that, I no longer seem to be able to PXE boot over the network (for our SCCM server) I've added an IP helper on VLAN 1 for both our DHCP and PXE servers but still no joy. Can anyone point me in the right direction for resolving this as a matter of urgency Cheers!

I've been asked by our BM to look at how we manage staff on site. At present it's a paper register manual filled in with those we know are not in, however we're looking to see if there's a better way of doing it. Can you give me some indication how you manage yours, and what (if any) technology is involved. Cheers

We've recently started having an issue with machines runnign INtel HD graphics starting to bluescreen. The faulting driver is igdkmd32.sys Has anyone else had this issue, or have any ideas whats causing it. AFAIK there's been no software changes,nor driver updates Cheers guys and girls

I'm trying to re-utilise an old Cisco access point, however I need to upgrade the firmware to support WPA2. I've tried getting the new firmware from the Cisco site, but seem to be hitting a brick wall. Can anyone point me in the right direction for downloading this? Cheers

We currently run Cryptzone eUSB to enforce encryption on staff USB devices, whilst students are able to use any device. With Cryptzone eUSB going end of life, I'm on the hunt for a replacement package to do this. Obviously we've looked at Bitlocker, however that can't differentiate between staff and students so that's ruled out. Can anyone suggest something appropriate?

I've been notified that a number of emails are struggling to get to our mail server. Our ISP reports that the logs show a lot of re-try messages on the SMTP queue. I suspect it is an issue with our Forefront TMG, however I'm struggling to identify exactly what the issue is. Have any of you come across this issue, or have any clues on what could be the cause? We are currently trying to reduce the number of all staff emails being sent, so my aim is to have staff email a seperate mailbox, that will then be picked up and imported into the noticeboard. Staff will also have the ability to use a web form as an alternative option

I'm developing a staff and student notice board to integrate into our intranet. One thing I need is a script that can run as a cron task to pull in emails from a specific pop mailbox, and then post the contents into a MySQL database. The cron/php/MySQL bits are no problem - I've just no idea on getting emails pulled in. Can anyone help? Cheers

I'm trying to login to the web interface of one of the Cisco switches at the school I manage, and don't have any records of the correct username and password for it. I can login to the console and I have the enable password for that. Is there a way of resetting the web interface credentials from there? Thankyou
