3 Body Problem is up there with Dune for epic scale, both in the books and what I've seen of the Netflix production.

Very impressed with the adaptation. The book series is incredibly complex and the changes they have made has made it easier for the casual watcher to understand work.

The first series sets up the story for next two books. As you say its epic and the first series only sets up the story. Unlike Game of Thrones there is an end to this book series!

Another one who's started in on 3 Body Problem. Enjoying it so far, but only seen the first two eps. Not read the books, but it feels like the decision to make it more international was a good one. Odd to see so many people smoking in a show, though. Also Dave & Dan couldn't resist getting some T&A in there with the "rehydration" scene.

Kin (Series 1 and 2 available now via BBC iPlayer. 8 episodes in each series with a run time about 50 minutes each)

NOTE: May be NSFW

Just finished watchin Kin.We thought it was excellent. Nice to see some different actors too. Cracking script and acting with a bit of wry humour, but not for the squeamish...

I've been watching the simply wonderful X-Men '97 cartoon currently airing weekly on Disney Plus.

It looks gorgeous, it pays homage to its roots and drives the bar ever higher for what a cartoon should be.

Wednesday's episode five was the best half hour of television (animated or otherwise) that I've watched in a long time!

I've yet to watch it myself, but has anyone seen the new Fallout series on Amazon Prime? I'm hoping it's worth watching as a fan of the games.

Watched the first 2. Very impressed. Never played the game so can't compare but it's got alot of potential. Lots of funny bits and very stylish.

After the zombie section I've given up on it. I don't know what it's supposed to be but it's not for me.

So far so superb!

I'm three episodes in and it's a loving adaption of the game, chock full of easter eggs and visually spot on.

It maintains its wry, almost satirical sense of humour. Which might seem odd for a post-nuclear holocaust world, but that's Fallout in a nutshell.

Definitely worth a watch.

I was a little disappointed with the ending, and the run-up to it.

I'm guessing that it's "sequel ready" and that circumstance dictated the conclusion, at least in part.

Maybe?

Finished Extraordinary Season 2. Nothing quite lives up to the S1 scene that earned :censored: Lord his name, though probably more consistently amusing as a season.

Both seasons on Disney+ and S1 on ITVX. Worth a look, if only for the box of kittens in the last two eps of S2 and the above-mentioned scene.

Needed a new 1/2 hour comedy, so gave Girls5Eva (Netflix) a go. A one-hit wonder girl group decide to reform 20 years later. Three episodes in and it's quite amusing, with some nice absurdist stuff like the invisible glass piano. Trailer a bit racy for work.

Feedback after I've watched Fallout on Amazon Prime.

As a big fan of the games I really enjoyed it! It had the feel of the Fallout universe, complete with gory exploding body parts, but the power armour looked too light. I remember stomping round in it like a tank not being able to move as freely as every other character.

Looking forward to the next series though :)

Trying to watch Fallout - it is so gory though! I'm not afraid of a bit of gore and I loved Halo, but this is a bit much

Just finished Channel 5's Coma. Old guy and his wife manage to accident themselves into taking out the local crime family.

Does anyone know when/where Beacon 23 is going to be available in the UK?

The true story of the dealers, doctors and the billion dollar drug that fuelled America's deadly opioid addiction. With Michael Keaton and Rosario Dawson.

8 episodes, each around 60 minutes.

Finished the new, now cancelled, Quantum Leap. One of those "comfort shows" - an undemanding, easy watch. Not brilliant, but watchable. They made a weird decision in S2 that spoiled the show somewhat, especially as it seemed likely to have been reversed had the show carried on.

We are also watching that - several episodes in so far

not surprising - just confirms a lot of the worst I have heard - and goes beyond even that

quite scary really

Mme LeMarchand wanted an easy watch last night, so we stuck on My Life is Murder, an Australian/New Zealand co-production starring Lucy Lawless as as an ex cop who helps the local police with various cases. For some reason, Bill Bailey turned up as a possible suspect. I could just about understand previous guest star William Shatner having enough cachet to warrant flying him out there, but Bill Bailey? Or was he touring there and someone thought they'd ask him in for a guest role?

You should never question Bill Bailey featuring in any TV show or movie. Just assume he was living in a cave nearby and wandered into shot.

I don't think the part of "Enzo Pavone" was written with BB in mind, so you may be on to something.
