LeMarchand Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Finished "Once Upon A Time" last night. Whilst I make no claims as to it being a "quality" show, it had its moments and at least had a "proper" ending. Or 3 if you count the end of Season 6 (which is where they really should have left it) as the ante-penultimate ep was an ending for the Wish Realm peeps and the final ep provided a sweet one for the original Enchanted Forest/Storybrooke crew. I have to confess that I wasted some good suffering when one of the characters got their Happy Ending with their true love.
LeMarchand Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 The end of OUaT got me to thinking, "Whatever happened to the TV show of Fables?". Alas, this has since morphed into a film, though with 150 issues of the comic (+ spinoffs) it really should be a TV series. However, Locke and Key does seem back on (at Netflix this time) - third time lucky? I do wish I could track down the pilots that have been shot, particularly the first. Also SyFy have started development on a Nightbreed TV show.
TIOAOA Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Just rewatched Westworld so I can get started on Season 2, it was better the second time around
Stormborn15 Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 8 episodes later, its good, worth 4 hours of your time, 98% on RT, very different to other shows. Bill Hader, Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, and D'Arcy Carden (Janet in The Good Place) is recurring. Binge watched this on this recommendation- brilliant!
SpuffMonkey Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 Just watching Sacred Games - a sort of Indian bolly-noir from Netflix - halfway through and pretty good so far...
witch Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 I lost Westworld season 2 at around episode 3 - it just didnt make any sense. Does it get any better?
LTurner Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 I got to episode 6 and i have never been so confused in all my life.
SpuffMonkey Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 I lost Westworld season 2 at around episode 3 - it just didnt make any sense. Does it get any better? Not much imho - beautifully shot, but overhyped and in need to a strong editor. I thought Humans did the same thing, but better.
mavhc Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Not that confusing is it? 2 timelines, few weeks apart, which bit don't you get? 1
Patrick Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 It started to make more sense as it went on. It's definitely a program that requires your full attention. I really enjoyed it, but i thought the first season was better.
LTurner Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 I struggled to keep up when it started jumping timelines!
CAWJames Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 I struggled to keep up when it started jumping timelines! So from S1 E1 then? 2
admars Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Just watched Who is America. Who Is America? - All 4 reminded me of Brass Eye, laughing, then not sure whether I should be laughing, or crying, then reaching for the remote thinking, "WTF did that guy just say?"
CAWJames Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 3rd series of Colony. Enjoying it apart from 2 6 month time jumps, one of which made me feel I missed an episode. Also shouting "Taub, you idiot" at the screen a lot
LeMarchand Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 3rd series of Colony. Enjoying it apart from 2 6 month time jumps, one of which made me feel I missed an episode. Also shouting "Taub, you idiot" at the screen a lot Although it's still on the HTPC, I was doing this at most of the characters in the eps I watched, so never finished the first season. Too many supposedly smart people doing dumb things.
LeMarchand Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Finished S1 of the new "Lost in Space" last night. After a shaky couple of opening eps, it grew into an enjoyable "family" show. Long wait until next season now.
HarryMonkey Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Enjoyed watching the recent Paul Whitehouse + Bob Mortimer Gone Fishing series, some great banter between the two and really funny. (Just need to watch the one from this week)... 1
LeMarchand Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 3rd series of Colony. Enjoying it apart from 2 6 month time jumps, one of which made me feel I missed an episode. Also shouting "Taub, you idiot" at the screen a lot Got some bad news: Colony canceled after three seasons
CAWJames Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Couldn't sleep last night, so ended up binging Final Space on Netflix, only 10 20 minute or so episodes, but did enjoy it. Interesting story, good animation. Solid amount of space based animated gore
ICTDirect_Dave Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 We found this on Netflix last night https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/80189791 New Zealand's answer to Louis Theroux investigates the weird and slightly disturbing world of 'Dark Tourism'. Definitely worth a watch.

Definitely worth a watch. Thanks for the tip, really interesting watching, particularly enjoyed the Japan one, but made me think twice about visiting Fukushima, although Chernobyl is still on my list!
sparkeh Posted July 27, 2018 Author Posted July 27, 2018 Thoughts on S3 of Preacher? I am really enjoying it after S1 and S2 ran out of steam toward their ends. Setting and characters are great and hopefully it will keep up all season.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 (edited) Thanks for the tip, really interesting watching, particularly enjoyed the Japan one, but made me think twice about visiting Fukushima, although Chernobyl is still on my list! It's addictive watching isn't it? Got two left to watch tonight Edited July 27, 2018 by ICTDirect_Dave
