I love how pretty much nobody refers to it as 'winning' in PUBG, it's just 'chicken dinner' :D

Never ceases to amuse me.

Maybe we've uncovered a whole ARG about the background of the PUBG universe. Perhaps they are all slaves pitted against each other with the sole prize being a bite to eat. He lives on to fight another day. Survival of the fittest.. to the extreme?

Or maybe because it's because if you don't die, the game screen reads 'WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER'.. Who knows? :rolleyes:

from memory the only real issues i had with the game and it might be fixed on a ps4 pro (seriously considered buying one several times even though i dont have a 4k tv) were the uncanny valley characters esp with lip sync, its really bad at explaining weapons and why you would want certain ones i was at something like 85% completion before i decided to get a slingshot and even then it was because i assumed there would be a quest attached to it so free xp and possibly if you did all the weapons tutorials a trophy and the awful load times the game can suffer. even at the end of the game i basically used 3 types of ammo all bows fire/sniper and regular with the odd use of the pink one that knocks bits off and the gun that knocks things off so instead of fighting a robot with 2 missile launchers etc i blow the missile launchers off and use them against it.

i really enjoyed playing it but there are thinks above that i feel should of been handled better (again zelda did this on the plateau you learned how to basically use everything before you moved on)

 

given up on botw for now done 1 shrine but second time round it wasnt as much fun but it might of just been an off day so ive finally put more than a quick play into ever oasis and am really enjoying that though i do wish it was a switch game not 3ds i want to retire that

if were doing that i have basically this but with a few options(32gb ram 4k screen 512gb pcie ssd) Alienware 17 Gaming Laptop Built for Virtual Reality | Dell UK yes im daft lol and the only game ive played on it in the ~6 moths ive owned is forza horizons 3 and that crashes a lot as the damn laptop uses custom nvidia drivers which are always months old lol on the plus side it runs lots of vms with no issue

well if anyone is wanting to play something on their 3ds thats cute as heck and fun but not exactly taxing i can recommend ever oasis i havent completed it yet (i think im fairly close but i could be wrong) but it really is a fun game i just wish it was on an actual console not a 3ds that i would like to be able to retire. main issue and its only slightly annoying is you have to switch your party round more frequently than id like (ofen mid dungeon) now granted there is 0 penalty for this and it can even be a plus as returning to your oasis restores health and you can re enter exactly where you left but it cab be annoying if you need say a character who can dig say to get past a puzzle but then need one with a ranged weapon in the next room

 

also f rng played a bit of fire emblem radiant dawn this morning and need to get ike a few levels before i get too much further in the game so used some of my bonus xp and one of the levels increased exactly 0 of hi stats grrrrrrrrr damn you rng gods oh well i only need to get him to level up 5- times by the end of the 2nd level ive to play looks like its a ike kills all run lol same as last time i played but this time as im not blind playing it its even more annoying as i knew i needed him leveled but marcia keeps killing everything they all want to attack her and miss lol

well fire emblem is almost like a different game when you play it a bit less cautiously. Last 2 maps ive been trying to get ike levels up (in the first map) and it still wasnt enough even at max rang to kill the black knight damn you rng gods and the last map i did i was trying to make elencia a viable unit (you get her very latee in teh game as a level 1 unit (luckily promoted but still) so map where i levelled ike up i dumped all my stat boost items on her to make her not die from 1 hit next level i carefully used her to kill as many units as i could and ended up with someone whos main use is a healer getting mvp lol. Its certainly odd not being cautious and just going for it (all be it with only a few enemy units at a time)and still not having anyone die on the level (with no resets)

My other half got an invite from Ubisoft for the Division PTS on Xbox and I haven't had one. Yes I am still playing it and yes it's still fun.

I debated getting it the other week, until i saw a whole top shelf full of copies of it at CEX

I bought Crash Bandicoot N-sane trilogy this weekend... some of the levels on the first game are WELL HARD!!

 

This has been my past week, enjoying the nostalgia overload of revisiting Crash Bandicoot. But yes, it is particularly evil as far as games go!

one of those series ive missed out on over the years dont think ive ever played it or seen it played (bar youtube etc)

A lot of people dropped it when Wildlands came out, I played Wildlands to completion but came back to the division because the content is still there once you've completed it.

A lot of people dropped it when most of the stuff was client-side and you could modify memory values to give yourself unlimited health or ammunition.

(On PC, at least.)

Anyone got a recommendation?

 

I'm looking at MSI DS502 at the moment. I know a couple of people who have them and they've said they're good.

More than happy to plug my Audio-Technica ATH-M50X's

Housemate has the cheaper ATH-M40X's and has no complaints either.

Edit: Worth mentioning that the ATH-series aren't 'gaming headsets', they're just 'really good headphones'. I'm not a fan of mics attached to headphones. More often than not they're flimsy and rubbish quality, and are usually the first bit to break.

@X-13 I have the Hyper-X Cloud 2's + Astro A50s. Hyper-X Cloud 2's are absolutely awesome, would recommend to anyone, still have them as a backup in case the charge in A50s die. I bought the Astro's because I found them cheap, they are wireless and renown for being one of if not the best gaming headset. They are awesome, the mic takes a little tweaking so you don't sound like your talking underwater, but that's just a simple profile change. Other than that they are awesome, the charging dock is cool and makes them look like a work of art.

To be fair.. @failnator runs away from engagements, @DalekSec steals the bike and leaves us all to hoof it through the blue zone, and I have a habit of flipping vehicles :p

Somehow they still let me drive :confused2:

 

I resent that i just stand back and pick people off instead of high fiving an enemy shotgun XD plus i have a bad habit of reloading alot. Blame COD
