sted Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Thanks for the info. Just added you. Really enjoying splatoon 2. The motion controls take some getting used to but it's way more accurate than the stick alone. i couldnt get on with motion controls on 1 turned off from the start. Not tried multiplayer yet being slowly working my way through the campaign. splatling gun is a lot less fun than it looks, charger is still an awful weapon, dualies are great fun, fed up of getting knocked off the map of the level i tried this morning by bowling balls lol. Its fun but like the last splatoon for me i can only play it in short doses finished ever oasis yesterday fun little game its certainly a change from the massive rpgs ive played this year (zelda/persona/zero dawn) and im fine with that its a fun cute little game thats never going to exactly tax you (i think i game overed 4 times and thats because i wasnt paying attention to my life bar or the fact that if you have a healer in your party pressing r makes them actually heal i diddnt get that till near the end lol) the whole story is kind of guessable when you see it you know in the end cut scenes what is going to happen and who you are going to have to fight as the last (or near last) boss is going to be if youve ever played a jrpg/watched any anime before diddnt take away from the impact though (what does is after finishing it everything just carries on as before like botw) so back to splatoon2 for now and watching slayers dvds lol cant actually see anything upcoming i really want to play for the rest of the year (bar zero dawn dlc might even get a ps4pro for that) might actually make a dent in my backlog and finish fe echoes and a few others i never got round to completing
Tesla Posted July 24, 2017 Author Posted July 24, 2017 For those interested in my Until Dawn progress. Jess and Sam survived in my first run through.
korifugi Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 (edited) For those interested in my Until Dawn progress. Jess and Sam survived in my first run through. Are you planning any other runs? It's quite an easy Platinum if you're prepared to do 2-3 extra runs Edited July 25, 2017 by korifugi spellung
Tesla Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 Are you planning any other runs? It's quite an easy Platinum if you're prepared to do 2-3 extra runs Probably not... I also saved the wolf, which I was happy with!
korifugi Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Probably not... I also saved the wolf, which I was happy with! That's the weird thing - I can take seeing humans get offed in games, even in very gruesome ways without even batting an eyelid. But pet/animal kills? Hate them with a passion.

The other 3 deaths were from poor qte choices or missing clues.
sted Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 finished 1 player mode on splatoon 2 (well as much as i going to im not replaying every level with every weapon as zappers/chargers suck) last boss is kinda fun bot much less "epic" than the last boss in 1st one. played a few online games now ive got past rank 4 and can buy weapons i can get back to using a roller thats much better. had a few goes at salmon run but not finished the 3rd wave yet
thimon Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Really enjoying Last Day on Earth (on iPhone), mobile game I know so don't hate me!

DanTheLacky Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Got my kids a wii so been playing a Lot of Mario karts (hard-core gamer)
Garacesh Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Been on a PS2 nostalgia trip. Ploughed through .hack//G.U. Vol1 in about 26 hours, schlepping my way through Vol2 now.
BKGarry Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Since I have no broadband at home, until weds, I have been replaying The Last of Us - Remastered. Been doing a whole weekend of quite a bit of gaming and it has been great, I almost forgot how good the plot and the general gameplay is. Also, since I had to completely wipe my PS4 and it didn't do any cloud saves it means that I have to start FF-X all over again, I will eventually complete that game!
DeGrimmy Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 (edited) Just spent my week off mostly playing Destiny on my Xbox One. I missed out on it when it released and was determined never to play it when I found out they weren't releasing it on PC. Now I have an Xbox a couple of years later, I noticed there was a trial. Started playing that and then got sucked in! I've completed the main storyline and am now level 25. I could've used an item to skip to level 25 instantly when I bought the game, but I didn't see the point of that for someone brand new to the game... I've only played solo, and I generally avoid the multiplayer strikes and such, as no-one from my group of friends play it/own an Xbox. I wasn't considering Destiny 2 at all, despite it definitely releasing on PC this time. Now, I'm thinking about it... Maybe I can get my hardcore PC playing friends to join me this time! DeGrimmy Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I'm playing on the PS side - but in general the people on the 3 player strikes are usually nice. You should give strikes a go. I played one - Admittedly, I was part of the problem as I didn't have my mic connected to my Xbox - But it was utter chaos! They kept on running headfirst into trouble by themselves, not really combining our abilities, getting downed etc... I had a good number of revives! I might give it another go soon. After all, I'm running out of things I can do on my own, and I wouldn't mind getting better stuff!

Ah - I fear with people playing like that, a mic wouldn't have helped. Some like to try and push through the Strike as fast as possible and attempt to pretty much solo it (which is possible on some strikes), but if you were in one of the later ones - they can get a bit hairy. You can still push through most of the time on Strikes though without too much organisation. You'll need your organisational skills for Raids, if you plan to do any of them. (seriously, how hard is it to get six. frickin. people. to convene?)
X-13 Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Finally got round to getting Arkham Knight. It's so much fun, but the Batmobile is jank to control... The Man-bat reveal legit spooked me.
sted Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 played 3 chapters of the walking dead season 3. seeing clem from the outside im not sure if its a result of my choices in past games but shes a b lol intend to play sonic mania tomorrow but for some reason its not released till 4pm by the looks
korifugi Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Finished FarCry: Primal. Not too sure it's as good as the others - I think it lost something with not having a solid 'bad guy' (let's face it FC4's Pagan Min was brilliant). Now started a run though of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Hot damn, It's good.
DeGrimmy Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I'm still mostly playing Destiny. I reached level 40 over the weekend, so more things have opened up to me. I gave strikes another go, and for the most part, they've been enjoyable! It's just I've suddenly realised how rubbish all my gear is... I've now got to work out how to earn some Legendary Marks.

DeGrimmy Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Played the Destiny 2 PC beta last night. Hoo boy, it looks and feels incredible! It switches to open beta at 6pm UK time tonight, I'd recommend it if it's your sort of thing!
Garacesh Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Kindergarten on Steam Hilariously dark, but actually not bad of a puzzler.
sted Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 downloaded mario+rabids on my switch but not played it yet started the risky boots mode dlc in shantae 1/2 genie hero. To say your repeating the same levels its surprising how different just changing the character has made it feel esp as i dont have a full compliment of upgrades yet (ive only done 2 levels) its a slower game and you seem to need to think about what your doing more than normal
X-13 Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Picked up Yakuza 0 and Kiwami. Kiwami turned up first, so I've been playing a bit of that. I like it so far.
