I was selling a Pokemon game on ebay and someone messaged me to say it was counterfeit. It's GBA FireRed and it works just fine.... does anyone want it? I didn't even realise it was a fake!!

 

It might not be, they might have just been trying to score a cheap cart.

What makes them say it's fake?

Yeah. Think I had it bought for me as a gift many years ago. My leaf green sold instantly (maybe £20 buy it now was too low!!)

 

I'm sure I'm missing a box at home, because I have a DS with my emerald green cartridge in it... I have the box but no cart.... and I can't find my 3DS box either.... gah! Need to look this week. Might sell my 3DS. It's the animal crossing new leaf special edition. No value without the box though!!

quick google search shows only red carts apart from ones that say how to spot a fake.

 

Luckily gold is on my 3ds im not going to get my Gameboy pocket colour or sp out to play the copy I already have esp as both gold/silver have dead batteries that I cba replacing as by now they have probably leaked everywhere lol (red blue still going strong all 151 on both and legitimate mews no glitched ones lol)

I've been thinking about picking up one of the New 2DSXL's for the better hardware, but I don't really play on my DS enough to justify it.

I will probably get one of the new 3DS depending on if Ultra sun and moon are any good. At the moment I'm keeping my money in my wallet but you never know.

unless you use the 3d id get a "new" 2dsxl instead its the same hardware minus the 3d screen

started pokemon gold over the weekend and more msr now I bought a dreamcast to vga cable that has working sound. It looks surprisingly good for a 17+ year old game running in 6460x480 on a monitor

Precisely my thinking. The 2DSXL is exactly the same hardware as the 'New' 3DSXL (The ones that came out in 2015 with the coloured X/Y/A/B buttons and the little mini C-Stick), it just doesn't have the 3D bit.

 

I don't use the 3D bit 'cause it mega sends my eyes funny, and it's the same hardware for about £50 cheaper. Easy choice. But it's still £120 I can't really justify as I don't use my regular 3DSXL enough.

i wish nintendo would let me retire my 3ds but they keep releasing stuff i want on it that id much rather play on my switch so its a handheld or not depending on need i like being able to play handheld if tvs doing something else then dock and continue on a bigger screen with a better controller when there nothing on tv its so handy

Yeah. I probably would've bought a Switch if they'd have made it backwards compatible with DS games, but I do understand why they didn't.

i seriously wonder if pubg is more fun to watch than play as i can imagine its incredibly frustrating spending 20 mins+ alone stockpiling stuff then the first time you see anyone you get killed by someone with an 8x scope

Personally I find it to be one of those games that's a tonne of fun with friends, but I don't care for solo mode. Then again it's not just the gameplay that has me playing online video games, the social aspect of it is a huge part of why I do.

Got to agree with no solo. It's the kind of game I only play with someone else. Plus it's always funnier with others especially if bald_pig sees a grenade.

It's a shame grenades don't explode if you don't throw them. Kamikaze-ing enemies would be fun.
