Played the first 3 Uncharted games over the last few weeks. Pretty good, and I'm not sure why the film isn't using one of them for its plot (3 is pretty darn good).

 

Having a break before going on to 4 or Lost Legacy as I found I was eyeing up walls gauging handholds wherever I went.

Not had time to start any yet, due to a large backlog and still carving through Yakuza: Like a Dragon aside from Disgaea 6 on the train this morning headed to work (and lunch break just now!).

Just got myself yesturday god of war and assasins creed egypt so looking forward to playing them. would be nice if god of war told me how to fight things before sending an army of them at me XD

Spent the last two weekends blitzing the Halo: Infinite multiplayer tests.

 

Great fun! Looks gorgeous, plays like Halo 3 did but with a whole host of new mechanics.

Looking forward to december's release.

started a new playthrough of RDR2 since i never finished it last time i tried (lost the hyperfixation on playing it), also played some ace combat 7 skies unknown and obliterated a multiplayer lobby with the YF-23, good times

Liking the rumours Rockstar are going to release GTA III VC and SA remastered in November. I'd love to play through the older ones again, especially with some added visual upgrades.

I've started playing New World, actually pretty good if you don't mind a bit of a grind (especially as resources are not easily available from other players yet) although there's some interesting bugs at the moment!

I have just installed Subnautica Below Zero from my Game pass account. Looking forward to diving in this weekend.

 

Its not really my type of game but i thoroughly enjoyed the first one.

Just finished Call of the Cthulhu on PS4. Quite disappointing and really should have been called something like CotC: Darkwater, as it isn't an adaptation of the story. Gameplay is a few steps up from an old school point-and-click and feels very linear. Most frustrating thing was that you can only have one save point, and so can't go back in time if you press the wrong button.

Spent a lot of hours over the break playing The Last of Us 2. Thought it was great, if somewhat depressing.

I played through The Outer Worlds on PC (via Game Pass) over Christmas. I'd played it before when it came out and although I enjoyed it, didn't get invested enough to finish it back then.

 

It was a fun game as I just wanted to shoot things and be sarcastic to NPCs, however the difficulty seemed really easy (playing on Normal) right until one of the final bosses - my equipment and companions weren't geared to fight that enemy type & I didn't have the skills to bypass the fight. Somewhat frustrating.

 

It's also quite a short game which I felt didn't give the characters enough time to interact; everything felt somewhat rushed. Maybe I'm spoilt as I'm now replaying Dragon Age, and comparing OW to other titles like KoToR and Mass Effect, but it's a 2019 title so they're not unfair comparisons.

I've recently (since February) spent my gaming time playing Horizon: Zero Dawn on PC, completing it as much as I can/want to. I've had the game since it launched on PC, but held off on playing it due to performance issues at launch. It's a fantastic game with a rich story and open world, and much better optimised for PC now. I think I've done pretty much everything there is to do, so I'm happy leaving it. I'm really hoping they'll bring Horizon: Forbidden West to PC as well.

 

So now I need to work out what the next game will be - Snowrunner is occupying my time at the moment, but in terms of story driven games, I have RDR2 and Doom: Eternal in my back pocket...

Horizon is an amazing game, first game I've ever purchased the collectors edition for (on forbidden west), I have played zero dawn on PC as well and I agree I think that type of game is certainly easier to enjoy with a mouse and keyboard setup. I'm looking forward to the next God of War release, that'll be my next time sink.

Admittedly, I played on a controller - Third person games feel weird to me using mouse and keyboard.

 

God of War for PC is on my list to pick up when it's next on sale - I've never played one, but I watched a bit of it and I want to play it myself!

Hmmmm... That's helped me pick my next game - Horizon Zero Dawn it is. Gonna be hard not to think of the playtester from Mythic Quest, though.

I really, really enjoyed Horizon: Zero Dawn when I played it on PC last year. One of the best open world RPGs I've played in a good while. I really hope Horizon: Forbidden West comes to PC. I have God of War on my list to play next, so I'll probably buy it on Steam this weekend. Edited May 5, 2022 by CHiLL
