DMcGuigan Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I recently bought Transformers: Devastation for PC. Found a Steam key for just £7. Mostly bought it because my four year old loves the Transformers G1 cartoon at the moment and he wanted to be Optimus Prime! It's actually quite a good game. A bit hack n slash, but lots of fun and plenty of original voice talent/robot designs. Happy days! One of the free PS4 games next month for PS+ subscribers, looking forward to it! Picked up a bundle from Bundle Stars for Risen 3 and Killer is Dead, so I'll get to those at some point, also just pre-purchased my copy of BF1, so there goes any other gaming for me after that comes out.

DJ-1701 Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Completed 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' for the PS4 on Moderate difficulty today. Great game, enjoyed the story line would recommend. Convinced to play Bloodborne next at @X-13's suggestion.

Bought The Last Of Us Remastered yesterday.... (Deal of the week...11.99...and includes the add-on game they did) Completed the original, but want to give this a go. 3s-gtech Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Plugging through Dishonored at the moment (plugging, because I play it like I play Deus Ex e.g. hide in a vent for three hours carefully observing my enemies, pop out behind one and get brutally murdered by an unseen dog). I will finish it sometime before Christmas - are the (Daud) DLCs worth playing?

I invested in a lovely MSI GS70 laptop (Thanks ebay) so i could play it in shiny graphical glory whilst also spending time with my wife (kind of). It's good so far. A very different game to Rome.

One of those games I wanted to play on release but had less It may have been pretty spectacular for its time, but I played a lot of it with a walkthrough open - some of the puzzles were nonsensical - and felt that finishing it was a bit of a chore.

Only played for an hour so far but it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. As much as I love the game, and have played it many times, I'd never actually completed it. I always got put off by all the crashes. Turns out they didn't fix the random CTD's in Bioshock remastered, either. But I ploughed through it with regular saves. Next up is Bioshock 2 (Remastered), also a game I've never completed, because of that stupid "always crash at the last level" bug that can't be fixed.

Apparently the key to Fascist conquest of the globe is to complete Operation Sea Lion in 1936 otherwise the Royal Navy is impossible to counter.
Garacesh Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I've completed both on PC - can't remember having crash problems. Bioshock Remastered was actually 100% stable (I'd gotten as far as the garden area with all the trees and stuff, I forget its name) until a few days ago when they pushed out a patch. Since then I've had many CTD's from doing just about everything. Use a Gene Bank? Crash to desktop. Pause the game, make a brew, unpause the game? Crash to desktop. Hack a security camera? Crash to desktop. Shift-Tab to respond to a message on Steam? You see where this is going. Bioshock 2's problem is a bug that when you use the door to load the final area of the game, the game crashes. This bug is omnipresent. It exists as part of your save file from the moment you start the game, and the bug will affect that save file 100% of the time, so you can't just lose a bit of your progress by reverting to an earlier point. There is also no way to know if the bug has affected your save file until you try and load the final area. I enjoyed Bioshock 2 much more than I did Bioshock 1, but that bug at the end made me flip the metaphorical table and I never went back to revisit it.

There's hundreds upon hundreds of results on Google (Reddit and SPUF mostly) with people complaining about random crashes. It's exceedingly common. With 2, I definitely got to the end. Is it just that a lucky few didn't get the bug in the save file? Dunno what the chances are, all I knows is it affected me on my first playthrough and I ragequit hard Anyhoo, this isn't the 'Troubleshooting Bioshock' thread, so..

BKGarry Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Downloaded Resident Evil HS on PS+ over the weekend. I am still totally rubbish at the game but I am determined not to use Google at all for it. I also got Transformers: Devastation which I am loving :-)
