Though we are meant to be saving up for a house so I can see she sometimes get's frustrated at me when I'm not putting a large quantity aside for a house. But she can't really say anything.... yet ...... It's my 20th in a few weeks, does that mean I can spend 1000+ and get away with it. (That sound a machine makes when you get something wrong) Yes. Learn from example. @abillybob - reasons include mortgage, children, childcare, cars always being an unexpected expense, pets always being an unexpected expense, the fact we're cramming every last pound we can (more or less) into savings ready to go to Florida this year after three years of paupering ourselves in that cause, "I never go out and spend any money", "I'd love to get new clothes but someone has to be the sensible one", the general rule of life that your wife is always right and you are but one more thorn in her side (of which she already has plenty), and whatever else has happened today that wound her up and is still somehow my fault. And I still haven't done the lawn. Marriage is fun! Yeah all we have really is saving or for a deposit and our holiday this year. Still she 'could' moan if she wanted to but she doesn't really You're not really selling this marriage life to me though @sonofsanta I do have to say! haha!

To be honest she won't be that bothered - it's all just internal guilt because she really doesn't spend money on herself. Neither of us go out drinking, neither of us is fashion conscious in the slightest, we do just spend the money on the house or on the kids, so I feel kind of bad for spending something on me alone. Daft, innit. This is how they really get you, in the end. They don't have a go at you. They train you to have a go at yourself. I do pay for her shiny Lumia 930 though, and this one isn't any more expensive over the two years, it's just more up front. See, I'm getting my defence ready... 1

It's not like you've been irresponsible @sonofsanta. You've got good bank for buck with the OPO! £300 is better than £600!
lionsl2005 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I had zero issues with the OPO's stock camera. Picture quality and the flash were both a lot better than other phones I've used. I love opt stock camera. Works great. I have tested with Google camera and frv-5. Pictures are stunning 1

It has always amused me when men go on about how their wives and girlfriends "make" them behave in a certain way. What they are actually doing is admitting that women are cleverer and superior to them :) 4

By the fallacy of popular appeal, you must be right! Though I do find - in myself at least - that I do try to modify my behaviour when I'm in a relationship based on how I think my partner would react*, so in a manner of speaking.. Maybe you do Though I wouldn't call buying a new phone the 'wrong' thing to do, but hey, I guess it depends on your priorities, financial situation, etc. * Realistically that's what we do in day-to-day life, it's called good manners and empathy, try not to upset or offend others if you can help it.. But what I mean is I take her feelings into much greater consideration than I do other people. It's just normal to me, and I expect others do, too, compromise and all, but I've seen relationships where it doesn't happen (What's mine is mine and what's yours is yours) that have been solid as a rock, so y'know.. It can go either way** ** like a bisexual. But hey, both genders will always rib each other (And their significant others).. It's light-hearted, all in good fun, let's not read into it too much. We lose either way, we buy something they (may) get slightly annoyed (depending on your circumstances) even though we're told to buy ourselves something. And then when we do we feel bad cause it's not spend on them! @Garacesh whether you do absolve responsibility or not, one way or another it will be made to be your fault. I wasn't angling for anything at all, I'm just a right old soppy git I am checking this OnePlus One orders page every half an hour. It's gone to Pending Shipment, but that really doesn't tell me much

And we've gone out our way to be friendly to all the delivery drivers who work round our way, so that they know which garden building to leave any parcels in From what I gather from some quick Googling, it'll probably be here start of next week. TBH I won't start using it until OxygenOS is out anyway - if I can flash straight to that, it'll save me having to reset my phone to go that way later, if that's where all the updates will be happening. I just hope it's a good OS out of the gate...

I mean I've had this HTC two years and I've not done any flash mods at all, I suppose it depends on the phone and the user really doesn't it? And we'll from what I've heard it is a good phone and for the price I really couldn't argue much of a case for that next to a HTC once again it just depends on the user doesn't it.

Both Cyanogen12S (the Android Lollipop update) and OxygenOS (OnePlus's new OS now that they've fallen out with Cyanogen) are out before the end of this month. So I'll be updating immediately either way - but I may as well go straight to OxygenOS, which is going to be supported long term by OnePlus, than go to Cyanogen12S which will likely be the last proper update the OnePlus One gets from Cyanogen. I just suspect that moving to OOS will be a bit more work than just an OTA update, but once it's done it's done.

Nothing worse than missing a package your been waiting for. Unfortunately my mind won't change I'm still HTC even though I have heard good things about the OPO, How old is the OPO now? Was it 2014?
