I'd be surprised if you could find a single member of Edugeek that didn't have the skills to do it! I'll be getting mine from OnePlus in tomorrows Tuesday sale. You're right. I'm still running stock CM 11S, but rooted and running TWRP recovery. For now, yes. 12S and OxygenOS are being released at roughly the same time. Still, this is why I'm going up to look at phones today, so I can buy one tomorrow if I like the look of it (plus the office is running low on biscuits - only one pack of cookies left )

That glass protector has the most convoluted product name I've ever seen on Amazon Also now annoyed that the Ultra case doesn't come in blue Charcoal Grey it'd be, if the OPO it is...

The biggest problem with the M8 was its lackluster camera, a low-resolution "Ultra Pixel" camera that just didn’t compare to the best cameras from Apple or Samsung. It was paired with a secondary sensor to do depth of field tricks that proved to be more gimmicky than useful. For the M9, HTC took a completely different approach: its main camera has a high-resolution, 20-megapixel sensor and that secondary sensor is gone. The UltraPixel camera has moved to the front, where it actually works pretty well for low-light selfies and its lower pixel count isn’t as much of a problem. The new main camera has lots of pixels though — a direct response to criticisms that the M8’s camera wasn’t high resolution enough. Unfortunately, this new approach doesn’t result in any better pictures, and in many cases, images taken with the M9 are worse than they were last year. The M9 has the pixel count the M8 lacked, but all too often the images are fraught with noise reduction and smearing of details. Low light pictures often have odd color casts and there’s unpleasant blooming in highlights. In well lit scenes, the M9 has trouble exposing wide ranges of light to dark areas. The actual camera software on the M9, the app that you use to take photos, is great. It’s fast and easy to use, and provides quick access to photographic controls such as white balance if you want them. But the end result just isn’t as good as it should be, certainly not for a flagship smartphone in 2015. Smartphones aren’t just phones anymore, they are increasingly the only cameras that people own or use. People often pick a phone based solely on how well it takes pictures and the phone’s camera can make or break the device. In the case of the M9 (and the M8 before it), it breaks it. For the third year in a row, HTC has produced one of the most visually alluring smartphones that feels as incredible as it looks. And for the third year in a row, it has show-stopping flaws, which bring the great experience you’re having to a screeching halt. 2

My phone is first and foremost a communication device, secondarily it's an internet-consumption device and trailing behind in third place, a low-grade machine to kill 10 minutes on. Camera doesn't even factor into my purchases. Edit: Those photos certainly seem good enough, though.

The 4MP count never bothered me - my DSLR is only 6MP after all - and I agreed with HTC's logic that they were better chasing low light performance than numbers on the box. I like DOF effects as well (and am developing a bit of an addiction to prime lenses for my Nikon on that front) so the Duo stuff looked interesting. But if low light performance is poor and noise is high, then there's not much point... I did go up town at lunch though. And the Galaxy Note 4 (near as damn be the same size) does feel pretty big in hand... but not so big I wouldn't get used to it. And 5.5" is a nice size screen. And the HTC One M8 does feel lovely in hand... but not £100+ extra of lovely, I don't think. And I did manage to pay off my credit card in full today (pay day) without dipping into savings. I normally do, but last month was expensive, so I wasn't sure. But this means I do actually have the money to by an OPO. And I like the sound of "infinitely tweakable", because by god do I love to faff. GODDAMIT I DON'T NEED THIS CURSE MY WEAK WILL AND ALL THE SHINY TECH THINGS SENT TO TEMPT ME 1

Honestly if the OPO was available on contract I'd get another in a heartbeat, but I just don't have the cash to outright buy another 1

I did wonder about the OnePlus 2, but there is so little info on it. I'll be amazed if it's readily available to buy by the end of the year, whatever the rumours are. Besides, the One will still be good spec in 12 months anyway.
