MK-2 Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 Do not forget some of the newer classics on the pc like unreal torn and half life. Not "that" old compared to some of these lists but i think like doom key times in game design. Oh I won't forget Half Life! I remember going out to buy a voodoo2 card just to be able to play it on something other than software rendering. Boy was it worth it. Remember being sat in the techies room at my sixth form with my voodoo2 plugged into one of the spare machines and watching the intro as you go on the train.

Pumaedition Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I remember a game on the Amiga 500 called Soccer Cards.....quite an utterly pointless one, but still quite fun when you are young! My first real "games console" was a Master System, and there are a couple of classics on there. Sonic was uber, as was a game called "Afterburner" but the one that tops it all off, and it was in built.....Alex Kidd in Miracle World....uber addictive!!

Wing Commander... now there was a good "early PC" game. Wonder if the gameplay would still stand up today. Am quite into me retro gaming tbh - only modern game I play is PES. Other times it's nethack, freecol, railroad tycoon (1)... and the occasional Scummvm emulated P&C
