After many years of not using it I decided to give fog project another go, I have it in two schools now and it is working really well, very simple interface, deploys using captured syspreped images like the old days, has application deployment built in. Built 2 machines in a classroom the other day while students were sat at them 4 minutes and they were logged into the clean build. And it is free and can deploy printers and keep track of users logging into the machines. Adobe pre baked in my image but also deployable, order is important with Adobe it doesn't like installing after office so my deploy removes office installs Adobe then installs office.

Did not consult IT, and did not try a trial, but apparently it is the most important software in the world and can not be lived without. -
After some advice regarding Vimeo being used by a website.

They do but it is a list of 2650 urls, which is a very excessive number of allowed urls which I fear will cause a significant slow down of the filter, are current list is about 200 addresses. -
Hi fellow IT people. I am currently having a discussion about a piece of software purchased by one of our Primary schools that relies on Vimeo for hosting. I am under the belief that Vimeo should not be used withing a school environment but am assured that this software is used in "1000s" of schools, can any one let me know if they use the software in question and how to got over the filtering issues please? Software is Ruth Miskin Training from ruthmiskin.com. There tech support suggested I white list 2650 individual urls to allow the site to work without un filtering Vimeo itself. Many thanks and keep up the good work. John

[sims] How to Migrate SIMS or query the SQL database
jmcdermott replied to Warwick_Tech's topic in MIS Systems
If it is the hardware you are worried about preform a physical to virtual conversation of the server and run it as a virtual machine when required. -
If they are mounted to a tile it is often easier to undo the nuts from the top and drop the bracket down.

VPN is the cheapest simplest answer, just be sure to use a random server name not vpn.schoolname.sch.uk, these address get constant attacks.
