Hi Dawn, Messaged you for access to the drivers. @Scottyuk30 or anyone else. I can get the F7 and boot from USB NIC, it goes off to PXE boot then reverts to the boot choice screen after about 5 seconds. How do I get this to PXE boot and connect to our MDT / SCCM server? I'm using the Anker USB NIC's with PXE chip in them. Thanks, Simon.

[sims] Printing Student Photos Without Names Below
ninjabeaver replied to ninjabeaver's topic in MIS Systems
Thanks JJ. Not seen that one. I got it sorted eventually by a combination of Lightroom and SIMS, but thanks to everyone who contributed. -
Morning all, Our new Principal has asked for some playing cards with students pictures on them for the Inset day. I've printed off the Current Student List fine which produces the photos with the student names below. Is there a way to do this without the student names or a report that can be made and will do the same. I've tried making a few reports but it just gives me a little text box with "Photo" written in it. Cheers, Simon.

I've just left a message on the mobile number I have for him. Thanks of the email.

Hi Zag, The same as on http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-7/110567-ie10-proxy-setting-windows-7-a-2.html#post999643 (Post #23, Image 2) but for my school and then on the end you put ; in. Do a GPUPDATE /FORCE and it puts the tick in for you. Cheers, Simon.

I could not find the answer on this thread, but did find it on this one. Tested and works across IE9, 10 and 11. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-7/128685-bypass-proxy-local-addresses.html Thanks for everyone on this thread. Got me out of a hole.

We've now stopped buying headphones for ICT Rooms. If the teachers want them it comes out of their department spend. Strangely they are now being looked after. We did purchase a class set of clear plastic boxes for them. Each is numbered to go with the number on the headphones. They are then booked in and out by the teacher. It is then reasonably easy to trace back any damage / vandalism. Other rooms do hang the headphones over the screen. Simon.

Really odd network (?DNS) issue that's confused me...

Yeah, might well be worth re-networking and check the time and date are correct and in sync with server. -

Have your turned IPV6 off on the Win7 Clients? I sure that was what I had with a similar issue here on a few PC's. -
Done. All the best with the run.

Afternoon all. Just finished my ladder training course. Joy! Number 19 please! What a great finish to the week. -
Really. Blimey, I'll try drivers first and then updated ID Manager.
-
Cheers, that would be appreciated.

I've contacted Cunninghams, AIT and Biostore about this and none can provide a working set of drivers. I've quoted them this post stating that we need the drivers dated the 18th July 2012 but all they sent me were ones dates for 2010. Can anyone post these to me at all? Cheers, Simon.

Bloody Hell, missed the start again. So busy here I get little time to check Edugeek or wipe my nose lately. Anyway, can you add me please? -
Thanks Neilmac. Sorry I have not replied. OFSTED have just been in over Thursday and Friday. Feel stupid as why I did not think of this. I'll get onto that next week. So, my apologies and thanks all in one. Cheers, Simon.

Afternoon all, I'd like to switch our Encryption Options in the Ruckus setup at school. Currently running WPA and TKIP and was looking at putting this across to WPA2 and AES. If I just switch these over I take it that the staff and student laptops would have to be reconnected to the wireless again. Can anyone advise please? Cheers, Simon.

[sims] SIMS Migration to new Domain and Server
ninjabeaver replied to ninjabeaver's topic in MIS Systems
Morning all, Sorry I've not been back to reply to this. We opted for a Physical 2 Virtual migration using the MS Hyper-V tools. This moved the server as a whole from our Citrix platform to the new Hyper-V platform. SIMS could not come in before mid-September. Everything has gone well and all is working. @John_Howarth - I'm already following you on Twitter, but (if money allows) I'd like to get the SIMS, Discover and Solus sorted out properly on 2012. I'll get in contact nearer the time. In the mean time thanks for putting yourselves forward in this stressful migration period. It's well appreciated. Cheers, Simon.
