I had trouble with the image that had software built into it, so had to go to blank and sw installing after
-
I thought that the reboot might be the problem so i set every bit of software to reboot one after an other, some of the exe didnt even finish to install, such as sophos, as it runs 3 msi behind it. I will probably have to extract the msi from each and hopefully that will solve that problem.
-
Hey I am having a little problem deploying software via the task sequences, the software all works individually but together in bundles i get 1618 errors from the msi's which are that another application is running, it seems that some exes i have are still running behind the scenes and before they finish its moves on to next task and errorring out. Has anyone had similar issues and how they overcame them.

Thanks i will try that, where about is that, and can it be set by group policy.

I am having a weird problem with our machines, does it on all machines with Windows 7 on, when i log on i press crtl alt del put my username and password in, it starts to log me in says logging on and then kicks me to the ctrl alt del screen, i can then retype my username and password and it logs me in as normal. I am not sure if the power saving is causing an issue all i can tell is the screen turns off after 10 mins and the pc goes to sleep at 30 which is the standard i think.

Lol, our dhcp is in a department higher up which i dont have access to. I dont have any access or control of our dhcp, i guess i will have to get in touch above.
-
Thanks will have a look at that.
-
That sounds kinda fun, but i am not sure i have the confidence to do anything like that.
-
I wont be able to set one up, as it would conflict with the current dhcp.
