Might as well give Brazil the trophy already, ah referees.

Sadly, this seems to be the case in every World Cup! Also, I was watching the news after the match and they were saying that referees are gonna be inclined to give Brazil the vast majority of the decisions because the authorities biggest fear is Brazil going out early and adding more fuel to the protestor fires!

The opening ceremony was so bad that it was awkward to watch.

I've never seen a decent FIFA or UEFA opening ceremony! Perhaps they need to give Danny Boyle a call! :p

Feeling rather smug this morning after both bets came through! Had 2/1 that brazil would play in yellow so that was a bit of a no brainer really and that both sides would score but that Brazil would win. Really surprised that one came through since technically Croatia didn't score.

Seemed almost like Blatter had told the ref 'Make sure Brazil win, we dont want anymore (escalation in the) riots.'

Terrible referee. Very poor sportmanship from a lot of Brazil players.

Rivaldo is exactly what came to my mind when Fred fell over, too.

It's so sad to see Brasil doing this, especially after seeing previous generations do this:

Pele dummy and miss v Uruguay - YouTube

I know he missed but at the time, it was such an audacious move, it was still Brasilian flair at its best. Four years before Cruyff and his Turn, too.

Yeah, the recent Brazil teams just haven't had the class, or the flair of the 1970s group. Ronaldo was decent in his hey day. I still remember watching the UEFA Cup Final of 1998 where he completely stole the show. Some of the skills in that match were scarily good!

Unfortunately, the Rivaldo's and Ronaldinho's have just let themselves down with theatrics and tantrums!

Pele done the "Cruyff turn" 14 years before Cruyff and smashed it into the net against Juve.

Garrincha also does many 180 flicks, leaves the ball standing and could turn like noone else (because of his twisted legs)

They played brilliantly in the first half. Wingers on both sides were placing the ball perfectly for the attackers, Neymar was jumping over tackles and barging about but as soon as the second half started the Brazillians were rolling around and falling over like wimpy toddlers. It can only be down to Scolari's speech at half time.
