  1. "...Hammock? What hamm- Gosh! Where on earth did that come from?!"
  2. I'd definitely rather eat it than have my tea from it.
  3. It's ridiculous. He's just passing off wild speculation as fact in the hope that it'll convince people to vote Yes. Presumably he intends to get over this hurdle first and actually take time to consider everything else afterwards. If the Scots genuinely want their independence then fair enough but they should at least be presented with the facts before making the decision.
  4. I like this one.
  5. Create some of your own, stylish "eco-fashion"
  6. Well done!
  7. *Sneaks away as quietly as possible* I just can't handle pink steak. I have no idea why, I'm fine with duck, lamb etc. but any pinkness in steak just makes me want to puke.
  8. +1 for everyone suggesting you go sit in some! Half the people here love our chairs and half have had to get additional back support thingies (technical term) so levels of comfort and support do seem to differ wildly between individuals.
  9. Already started compiling a list of what I want to get people... I have to write these things down as they come to me or I forget!
  10. I don't want to distract him from anything, I just want him to be easier to buy presents for.
  11. Hehe, luckily I've never been made to watch. He only plays when I'm not about or if I'm busy doing something else. Doesn't look like it'd make a good spectator sport though!
  12. Believe me, if I could tempt him into anything more interesting than FIFA or Football Manager (sensing a theme, anyone?) I would!
  13. I got him quite a few games, FIFA is just the only one he's consistently interested in. Haha honestly I would much rather he spent his free time doing fun stuff with me than sat in front of his PC/PS4!
  14. He only plays FIFA.
  15. Hopefully before Christmas so I have something to buy boyfriend for Christmas. No idea how I'm going to top a PS4.
  16. Do any of you have iPads and like them? We only ever seem to hear "We have iPads... I hate them... they're a nightmare... the kids hardly use them... the head made me" etc.
  17. Hehehe, made me giggle!
  18. Edit: That is a truly terrifying emoticon.
  19. Competitive, eh? For someone who has never been particularly good at sports I am unbelievably competitive! I think you'd like a Fitbit. The main appeal for me is being able to constantly compete with myself and other people.
  20. It's more that I just want someone to have a look at my run and tell me what sort of trainers I ought to be going for although I'd happily pay a bit extra if it meant I wasn't hobbling round like an OAP! That said, since I've stopped massively over-doing it my knees have felt fine so it might be that my current trainers are perfectly fine. They are pretty comfy.
  21. Yeah, I can't really justify expensive trainers just yet especially as I didn't long since buy a pair as my previous ones didn't fit very well and destroyed my big toe (made the nail all ingrown, ergh). I might hold out until near-Christmas and see if the boyfriend fancies getting them for me. There's a Park Run very near my house, I just haven't quite worked up the courage to try it yet . I'm hoping another few weeks of the Couch to 5k and I might start feeling ready to run where other people can see me! It's bizarre isn't it? If someone told me 3/4 months ago that I'd be enjoying running or that it'd be having such a positive impact on my life I'd have laughed let alone that I'd be absolutely miserable having to take a few weeks off to let my knees recover!
  22. Thanks for the advice @HarryMonkey! Do you think it's worth going to one of those running shops where they get you on the treadmill and look at how you run before picking you some trainers (pretty sure that's the technical description of the process ). Mid way through week 4 of Couch to 5k now and starting to find it more challenging and fun! Find that using the 5k app combined with "Run, Zombies!" for entertainment and Fitbit for steps/calories is a pretty good combination. Went on a long country walk with some friends I don't get to see very often at the weekend and they all noticed a difference in fitness and shape. There was some leg groping too, they're feeling pretty solid! Now I just need to turn my attention to all the other jibbly bits.
  23. Yeah, I've switched to every other day now and go for a relatively chilled dog walk on my rest days. Knees are feeling so, so much better.
