Yummy! I make these quite regularly. You can buy the ones made by UniBic in most supermarkets, although I've never really seen the point of this as they are so damn easy to make.

Can the people that make their own biscuits post recipes and instructions please.

I have loads of biscuit recipes - what sort do you like?

I think I might have to go with Golden Crunch Creams as well, although the ginger ones are also good.

Also, can anyone explain why chocolate digestives are like normal digestives but much better, while chocolate rich teas are like normal rich tea biscuits but horrible? (answering 'because rich teas are horrible' is not an answer, you are wrong, they are lovely)

Regarding Jaffa Cakes, there can be no dispute - they are legally classified as cakes, on a number of grounds but in particular because "On going stale, a Jaffa cake goes hard like a cake rather than soft like a biscuit."

Google

Check the youtube video (sorry I can't post direct links.

Anyhow. I see all your enteries and raise you (dough!) - Jaffa Cakes!!!

Indeed already posted :)

I love Jaffa Cakes, 1g of fat in each one so when you eat a whole yard of them that's quite a lot :)

Here's my recipe for Anzacs:

  • Mix 1 cup of plain flour, 1 cup of oats, 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut together.
  • Melt 125g (1/2cup) butter & 2 tbsp golden syrup.
  • Mix 1 tsp baking soda with 2 tbsp boiling water and while it's fizzing, chuck into the butter/syrup mixture. While this is frothy, mix into the dry ingredients.
  • Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls and spread onto greased trays, allowing room to expand. Bake 180C for 10-12 mins and allow to cool on wire racks.

Makes 24.

  • Thanks 1
