Jake Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Early to say for sure yet, but certainly seems faster at the moment
localzuk Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I would say it seems 'faster' but still not lighting fast - but that'll be down to rendering times of all these dynamic pages.
russdev Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Yep as said this is interm measure just to stop site grinding to a hault... As said problem is down to fundamental issue with the cms which is way we are moving away from it. Russ
plexer Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Dunno really probably is but then as today is the first day of summer break it could just be that everyone else has gone home. Ben
contink Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 As Jake said, too early to say... Lunchtime will be the tell.
sidewinder Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 It does seem quicker so far, although still slower than most other forums Its better than it normally is though, it is incredibly slow most of the time

elsiegee40 Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Much better... It could affect my productivity though, I won't be able to get on with other work while waiting for pages to load now! Lin
Guest richard Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Can we have an option on the poll for "bugger me thats quick!!!!!!!!!!!!"
ICTNUT Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Not sure yet, I have never really had a problem with the speed of the site but I can never get onto the site between the hours of 12:30pm to 2pm So that will be the big test for me, if I can access at lunch time today all will be good. I'll let you know.
OverWorked Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 It's faster and much more stable. No more "page not found" errors when the browser times out.
ChrisH Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I have noticed one problem now the site is faster................ I find myself posting more
leon Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 PM admin is better now. It didn't always reset the page count when deleting messages. Also are there less new posts visible on the home page? I preferred a longer list.

I preferred a longer list. Something happened with the block that we were using on the front page so they have stuck the old one on for now.
ICTNUT Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Well it's 1pm and I have access without any problems, well done guys ;-) BTW we have a full school in at the moment so I am testing it under a fully loaded net connection
witch Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Quickest it's been for weeks Mind you, I have just got back from Tenerife and I have been up since 3am so it could be that I am going so slow that everything else seems lightening fast!!
