1. Thanks for everyone's replies. I tried compatibility mode for Windows Vista and it has worked. My License Server is 6.1.0.1
2. Hi thanks for the reply, I probably have someone me in the store cupboard. How involved was it? What is are you running on the Mac.
3. I am hoping someone can help. I have had Sebelius Licence Server on a Server 2008R2 VM for many years, but obviously we needed to update the server and I have installed a new server with Server 2016 but I can't get Sebelius Licence Server to work I have been going back and forward to their technical support who have finally said that it is not compatible with server 2016. Now money is tight these days like it probably is for many has anybody got a workaround to get it back up and running? The old server has been deregistered, is is worth trying compatibility mode?
4. Hi I want to revive this post to see if anyone can help me maybe @stiggy77, I had Xibo running previously with the live document working great. We then moved to a different digital signage solution which for various reasons was abandoned. I have now built a Docker Xibo Server running 2.3.7. I am trying to get the live document working and I just can't get it to work. I have a .htm file on my file server in a folder that I can access via a browser no problem (this is the same one that used to work) but as soon as I put in Xibo either embedded or as a webpage it just does not work, I have used the code mentioned previously scrolling="no" frameborder="0"> Or is there a different to achieve the same result?
5. Sorry for the late reply, as you can imagine I have been very busy. There is some good advice here thanks. BT want £9,000 to put DDOS mitigation in place or £1,900 which covers 1 attack, that is just too much so moving forward I think we are probably looking to go with a supplier who can host our firewall remotely such as SchoolsBroadband or a similar solution. It just so happens that we are nearing the end of our current contract with BT so we just need to get through the next couple months somehow.
6. @gaz350b if that is still the price we have no chance of affording it @HPlum78 BT are stating that blocking the IP's responsible is ddos mitigation and we have to pay for it, we are dropping icmp. I am not sure what you mean by "stopping the return address from being rewritten" @ZeroHour We do have some incoming ports open RDP and Sims Teacher app. As to leaking my IP, is this what you are refering to https://practical365.com/exchange-server/remove-internal-exchange-server-names-ip-addresses-message-headers/
7. @mjk is there any particular software you have seen them use?
8. When we entered into the contract we took the top package available, but they are now saying we didn't purchase it, we have had many problems with BT Local Business, we are coming to the end of a 3 year contract and in that time we have had probably 6 maybe 7 account managers. I think we will be looking elsewhere next time but that doesn't sort the current problem.
9. It is and like you you I thought we were covered
10. Hi We have been attacked by to networks 190.172.0.0/15 & 190.178.0.0/15. We have Smoothwall, and working with their helpdesk we have blocked the networks but still had no internet access due to the attack continuing. Our ISP is BT the have told me I need to purchase Ddos Mitigation services from them, and as a gesture they have setup an access rule blocking the two networks. My question is is there an alternative to BT's service, have any of you experienced this and what did you do? I really thought that my Smoothwall box was all that I would need but apparently not. Thanks
11. I just looked their site and it does look good, but and its a big but, it costs £2k yearly
12. Now this looks interesting thanks guys
13. It seem Xibo is still in the running. Something else I need to be able to do (Xibo People) is play our school radio via the digital signage TV's around the school at non lesson times, anyone ever done this?
14. We don't use Google here we are an O365 site. Xibo works great for me but its a little complicated for some of the admin staff hence looking at another solution Dsign Cloud looks great but its the monthly cost. It will need to have custom layouts too.
15. We have been using Xibo for many years, but we have decided to have a look at other solutions, to make it easier for our admin staff to manage the various screens around the school. I have used Onelan in a previous school and have also just had a demo from Dsign, which I liked the cloud component but its a monthly cost which I didn't like. I want to be about to have easy management of information displayed and be able to also incorporate web content too i.e Twitter, Weather, News. What is everyone using? also I want a one off payment not something that has a monthly / yearly charge.
16. An update as I have just managed to upgrade to Sims Summer 2017 release. Here is the advice I was given that worked Capita have just got back to me saying that there is no requirement to run the provided patch, the workaround is as follows; - Within SIMS navigate to Tools > Performance > Assessment > Category - Under CES Assessment Services , right click on Level , click on Rename Type, rename to AM7Level or any unique title and save. All working now
17. I have resorted to restoring the database from before the attempted upgrade, just for information patch 23172 failed too. I have sent log files to Capita hopefully they will have an answer. No more attempts till the holiday.
18. That is what I wanted to do but the Exams Officer needed the update
19. I have just requested those patches fingers crossed that will sort our issue
20. do you know what the patches are that you are referring to hipopamous?
21. Is anyone else having a problem with the summer release? We have Solus 3 and scheduled the deployment however it failed to update the database (clients are updating fine) so we have an incompatible database error on clients. I have tried to update the database again and it still fails and proceeds to Rollback. I have just got off the phone to Scomis who were at best useless which is unusual as they are normally very helpful. Anyone have any suggestions?
22. Sorry for the late reply been off today. Its mainly OWA
23. I am looking to do this for all users I can find plenty of info to do it for one user but nothing for multiple users or the entire site. The reason we need to do this is because we have changed our email addresses last summer to tie in with usernames but some staff are struggling with the idea due to old addresses being still n cache
24. Thanks for the reply. I ended up doing manual imports it took quite some time but its done.
25. I have uploaded all my users pst files to be mapped to Office365, using Azure storage explorer I can see all the pst files in the ingestiondata folder. However when I run the "upload email messages (PST files)" from the Exchange online management console it sits at 0% for about two hours and then fails. But there is no explanation, here is an example of the mapping file I am using Workload,FilePath,Name,Mailbox,IsArchive,TargetRootFolder,SPFileContainer,SPManifestContainer,SPSiteUrl Exchange,,user.pst,[email protected],FALSE,Inbox,,, [email protected] is the primary email address Everything worked when we tested this on one user before the summer holidays, and I can manually import the users pst file using Outlook Does anyone have any ideas? have I missed something? UPDATE I have noticed in Azure storage explorer if I right click on a pst file and go to properties I get this message.
