What about a software restriction policy that blocks it by file hash for the security group? Edit: Monday morning-should have read more carefully! Not sure you'll be able to without auditing software. Might be best off interrogating likely suspects?

I attend a night school course that is about to start teaching JADE: Jade 6 We were told they take on trainees in NZ, and run a graduate scheme for institutions. Might be worth looking into? Not sure what JADE is like a language, or what the pay is like however... Best of British! :-)

I did this with a bunch of 745s in my last job. Are you talking about the SFF cases? I dont recall having to use a screwdriver at all, the slimline drives just clicked into place...

Just me responsible for our network: 850 pupils, 100 staff 300 clients, 11 servers, 50 odd laptops, anything else with a plug. Use USBDLM to always map USB drives to the same drive letter(s). Then apply the appropriate software restriction policy to that mapping. What do you mean when you say that you have come up against 'the software restriction policy'?

I'd guess that the 2600N uses HPs proprietary language simulation, meaning it won't play nice with ye olde NOVA that probably wants to use PCL5/5e/6 etc. It's the HP 2605 model that supports this, and unsurprisingly it costs a wedge more. I ran into a similar problem with the 3800 series and some piece of software (can't remember now as it was a while ago)...

In the past I've used Wise Package Studio from a clean VM session, which is very good, but not cheap. The created msi is very configurable, once you get past the bewildering array of options. For everyday stuff WinInstall gets the job done. This site's pretty useful: http://www.appdeploy.com/

Morning all, I'm having fun trying to increase our exising dhcp scope, which is currently set to: 10.45.224.1 to 10.45.224.254 Our subnet mask is 255.255.240.0, which I'm assuming should allow us to use addresses up to 10.45.239.254. What I'm not sure on is the best way to proceed. Do I just ammend the 'End IP address' value in the current scope properties (see pic) to something like 10.45.225.254 (giving us another 254 IPs)? This. How important is gaming to you? I'd get a capable lappy, nothing too flash, stick the OS of your choice on it and have done. Bank the rest, it's wasted cash imho. Someone mentioned the Dell outlet, that's a good place to start. Dell warranties are better than from a reseller, should that be important to you...
