If you're looking at DP and SUP, then biggest resource would be disk space. I have DP (but not SUP) running on one of our primaries all-in-one server which until summer only had 4GB RAM in (and was doing SIMs etc). Wasn't fast or pretty, but worked. Are you going VM or physical?

Looks like clientmate can run a program as part of it's power outage shutdown, so possibly use bmail as a temporary solution. Borri also seem to have some newer software (power guardian) which looks better featured, not sure if that would work with your UPS. Do you know what model UPS as that may give more of an indication of what it's capable of in terms of network.

What's your current UPS? It may have either USB/Serial/Network which with a combination of things may be able to email you presently.

Hopefully what everyone else has said has answered, but I'll add my bit SAN - is presented to the device accessing it as a raw hard disk, so you can then partition/format etc as required NAS - is presented as an already formatted file system so files can be placed on it As others have said, the definition is now much more muddied - for example, you used to be able to say that SAN was used in back end storage for virtualisation, but now SMB3 and NFS are used for storage (which are NAS protocols - they are used for file transfer). And SAN wise, you used to have fibre networks, but then iSCSI was introduced which allowed use of LAN/ethernet, and now FCoE.

If you have freepbx on your asterisk box, there's an outbound CID value in the extensions - this would be one way of doing it, but would require the full number entered in each extension. If you have multiple extensions requiring the same prefix, you might have to do something more complex with extension contexts... but you'd be best posting on asterisk or freepbx forums for further advice in those situations.

The other thing to watch out for is the fun of having moved a Solus 3 DB between instances - looks like the instance is stored in SQL and the package deployer looks this up - ours was trying to do stuff on our old instance as part of the install. Table solus3.agent_target_parameters, check against solus3.agent_target to find the relevant instancename and ensure this matches solus3 instance

If it's a NIC-NIC connection, ideally you'd be using a crossover cable - is this the case? If not, the auto neg may also be doing auto-mdix, which when switching off auto neg is potentially being disabled as well?

If you have Exchange 2010+ onsite, then hybrid should work (and makes the transfer from onsite to o365 fairly seamless) - I did this last year, and aside from some fun with firewall rules and the LA, worked beautifully.

Echo what @nathan said - we're on PSF and support can sometimes be testing - also charges for additional modules are at a corporate level and there is sometimes little realisation of how much these modules would be used and how the charging could be dealt with differently (like multi-locations, 1 secondary, 4 primary, all charged same amount for automated reporting). However, saying that, the software is very effective and flexible (within the defined realms of a financial system) and they do have some excellent consultants (one of them answered emails as I did an upgrade the the latest version of software on a bank holiday last year)
