The only way I could think of doing it would be to route mail through a mail relay back to the exchange box and delay at the mail relay (linux box running exim processing mail queue every 5 mins for example - will delay all mail, internal and external). Don't think there's a way to do it through routing groups or anything like that. It's amazing what happens when you use the drivers that someone has lovingly coded for ATI on linux... I happen to have a Ubuntu machine at home, with an Nvidia card, which struggled to give decent resolution... until I installed the drivers... So, you install windows XP on your machine... expect to get an amazing resolution without installing the drivers do you?!

That's interesting... I've done it before on an Exchange 2003 SP1 box, running front end, back end and mailstore on the same box... also had RPC over HTTPS running on it. You have to ensure that you have the root CA certificate installed on the device (just the server one is not enough iirc). I think there's also something to do with the the Exchange end of activesync works... see the below site for a good guide, and a link to the root certificate install bit for PPC: Problems with Forms-Based Authentication and SSL in ActiveSync Hope that's of some help.

IIRC it's around the half amp mark when running - maxes about 1-1.25 on startup I think. Been a little while since I've played with them on an amp meter, will see if I can get a response from old employer and see if they still have record!

Quick question for anyone that's done it. Will EMBC allow external connectivity for HTTPS to OWA and RPC over HTTPS? After recent weeks, looking at putting in an internal Exchange server seems sensible (and would reduce the size of our GAL!), and need to know if external access to email would be possible!

Problem for me is, some of the fat clients are P4s, but all they do is run basis desktop applications, no video editting, sound work, or anything strenuous is done on them, and I'd be looking to replace these in the future. CyberNerd's post seemed to suggest that if running linux, these would not be counted under the agreement, so was wondering where that info came from.

I'm looking to go TC on several machines, possibly using our current hardware until I can afford to buy thin clients outright, so could do with using this to reduce costs (I'd only be looking at office, TS CAL and Server CAL, and not OS, so about £8 per seat cheaper, and may then look at outright purchases of CALs/Office). iSCSI is meant as a Storage Area Networking method, so the aim would be to have a large iSCSI target as the main store for all network data, and have serveral servers accessing this. Desktops would then connect to the server(s) for their home area (as they probably do now). Think of iSCSI a bit like a SCSI cable, with the target being (potentially many) hard drives, and the initiator being the SCSI controller on the motherboard, it's a way of expanding storage for a few larger devices. As Ric said, it's too complex for desktop use (having a few hundred devices trying to connect to one iSCSI target would cause it extreme difficulty), and it's not made to be a backup device.
