In my Dip in Info Tech (Network Eng.) you have to do "Install a Software App." as a pre-req for some of the units, And yes, the name describes exactly what needs to be done to deemed component. This isn't even a requirement for the lower qualifications such as the Certificate 2 or Certificate 3, Although I guess it's somewhat more thrilling than creating a shortcut.

You could try doing something like Building Dynamic Start Menus With Access-Based Enumeration but tailoring it for the desktop. ** Never tried this: Or you could do the redirection via the user level gp if you have them sorted nicely in OUs and apply based on that. Do you have separate user accounts for the library stuff or do you want anyone on that terminal to get it no matter what the group they are in?

Fresh 2003 install, unable to to Update with IE?
p858snake replied to jmair's topic in Windows Server 2000/2003
Um, do you have the IE enhanced security stuff still enabled?, you might need to add the sites to the allowed section before you can access. Try grabbing a copy of firefox on a usb drive and test using that. -
It depends, If there is the foliage around there that they food off, slightly more likely to, but if the trees and such aren't then theres less chance, Also you would need to send notices home that the school plans to do this and keep it in a securish locations so kids can't be idiots around it.

Well what else do you have on your network apart from the workstations since you mentioned they were static assigned?

In Australia, Logitech seems to be the popular ones for this it appears. Example of some of their products: * LOGITECH Riser N110 939-000135 (XH1183) | Dick Smith Online Store (Product Code: XH1183 (if the links don't work, just stick it in the search box) * LOGITECH Alto Wireless Keyboard 920-000808 (XH0595) | Dick Smith Online Store (P C: XH0595) * Product list I think from memory belkin has a cushy foam version for this as well. You will need to supply a keyboard and mouse as well, Some people just do a small laptop dock that just plugs in and you can connect a normal monitor, keyword and mouse to that (so its only just one plug to undo) or you can do that without the dock.

Could this been at a stage where it loads a network driver? If it is booting into something then reading the usb that doesn't seem to be the issue.

EduMove might be able to do that (just search the forums for it)

The issue with sprays is, if they contain any alcohol additives, on the "soft" lcds when they heat up they can melt tiny little dots across the screen.

I believe they are referring to the bare metal plug for the connection to the device.

Yes, it forces air to flow in a certain direction, where as otherwise cold would just fall down and hot raises.

Have you tied rebuilding/placing a new client onto the network that didn't exist before? -
From my understanding of other posts, winsuite like other certain applications (looks towards norton) like to get their tentacles into the computer and have a uninstaller that doesn't function properly, The easiest and best way would just be to re{install/image} the os onto the computer if possible.

The HP USB formatting tool, can format usb drives into bootable system drives (Why windows prevents that is beyond me....) then you should be able to just stick the files from the floppy on them (Bios would need to support USB booting)

Can't EduMove handle this -> http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-edugeek-news-announcements/48085-edumove-here.html ?
