  1. Hi all, Our Windows 7 Suite is finally live! We have 31 computer's but random computers have been having minor issues. Every now and again students file's will appear grayed out with a red cross over the icon? If I go to the files destination on my PC I can see the file's there & everything look's fine but when they login the files are gray and appear missing when you try to load them. Any ideas? Thanks
  2. Were still struggling on! It's the last day of term and we have kid's back the first day . In the festive spirit, would anyone be interested in speaking to me over the phone and guiding me through RSAT? I've installed it but none of the policies appear to be taking effect? Thanks
  3. Hi all, Recently we bought 31 new PC's & decided to keep them on Windows 7 regardless of our 2003 DC! We are having a few slight problem's & with our last day being tomorrow we are starting to panic a little. We've locked down most thing's but we are still struggling to remove the navigation bar under 'Computer'. I'm not talking about the file, edit e.t.c. bar I'm talking about the one with "Uninstall or change a program, System Properties, Map network Drive bar" Does anyone have any idea's how we can remove this on 31 PC's quite easily? Thanks
  4. It does exactly the same on my end - Also Windows 7 Pro x64! The thing with it deleting folders & recreating is that I lose the permission structure on the folders :/
  5. Thanks mate! I'm testing out the code now. I can't get it to transfer the top folder over though? It just copies the contents? Thanks
  6. What do people think to.... Using a script to copy a list of the student's names taken from AD to xfer files from A to B. Then is there a way I can use Robocopy to delete the content's of multiple folders but leave the main header folder? e.g. Leave Joe.Blogg but remove all of it's contents?
  7. Sorry the reason we can't delete the root folder is because we want to keep the permissions on said folder.
  8. Do any of you have experience with the Robocopy option?
  9. How would I go about keeping the folder settings within AD? Cheers
  10. I suggested this but it would mess up AD folder settings as if the kid's come back they won't have a home area.
  11. I looked at Robocopy last year but how would I make it keep the top folder? e.g. \\hosea\d$\users\students\Joe.Bloggs - Just copies file's & leaves an empty Joe.Blogg's folder. to \\Server2\userbackup\Year11\Joe.Bloggs
  12. Hi all, I'm back with the same question as last year hopefully some software has been found that can do it! What I'm wanting to do is copy all the Year 11 & 13 student's contents to a Buffalo box. But there's a catch! I've got to leave the root folder behind and delete all of it's contents when transferring? For the past 6 year's we've done this by hand 1 at a time & as you can tell - it's a pain in the a-s-s! Can anyone save me? Cheers
  13. Right mate, when i click recurring booking I get The webpage cannot be found any ideas?
