Ah, Link to the Past, the first Zelda game i played, loved that game, the only one i've gone through multiple times! I liked Wind Waker, but did think it was a bit too cartoony for my liking. Skyward gives a nice mix on the graphics i think while being just a good game! Skipped four swords, did do spirit tracks,but not one of my favourites! Looking forward to the next one it'll be the reason for me to buy a Wii U

See, i always struggled finding those, kept having to go to the sealed temple and catch birds to get them. Sure i only ever found one in a chest! My favourites are still the oldies, OoT and Links Awakening. Never really like Twilight Princess as much as some of the others. Talking of Virtual consoles though has made me think i must play Majoras Mask again. Originally when i had it, it would crash at a certain point (can't remember where) but i couldn't get any further through the game without getting past this point Was really gutted at the time that i never managed to finish it.

I do love that game! Can't imagine their's much difference between a 3rd party component cable and a proper nintendo one, but i did buy the Nintendo one. I only plugged in the cable that came with it once when i first had the wii, it did make a difference going over to the component cable. You do have to change a setting if i remember (it was a long time ago) How far through are you?

Donated kit is far more hassle than it's worth, school has to be in a bad, bad place to make that a worthwhile option

Got the same issue with one of these, can't find a replacement either. Got a nasty feeling it's going to be a bit more expensive than i hoped! These all in one solutions are great until something needs replacing!

I'd only ever recommend netbooks as an additional resource, they don't have the grunt for a lot of things (speed is a constant complaint) But, the battery life is good, they tend to be pretty robust and for a general research tool they're great. Price as ever always an issue, having a netbook per child isn't unachievable (careful of your wireless though) But if this going to be your primary ICT resource and if you can afford it, I'd go laptops every time, just remember to budget to replace batteries after 18 months to 2 years (seems to be less of an issue with netbooks in my experience)

Always avoided this, kids swapping them round, batteries, expensive in the first place and breaking them, I'd avoid it, to me, straightening out the leads is far less hassle (or train the kids / a ta to do it)

The Dell AIO's have been replaced with a much shinier looking version, a little pricier, but they're good PC's. Optiplex 790 SF Lenovo do an all in one, but I'd leave them well alone, the power buttons keep coming unseated and power sockets are loose, kids just touch them and the power goes off. Had engineers to look at them a few times, but they just said even a replacement model will be the same.

That's what i've done for a couple of schools with difficult copiers, the xp Pc's go to the original print server, setup a 08 vm for the 64bit clients, all works fine

Had this issue with a few older boards, as soon as i've installed activinspire, it can't find the board (and this is using a keyspan converter or the pc has a com port) Replace the cable with a usb one, works prefectly. Think Promethean are quietly trying to force people to dump serial connections...

I bought it was one of schools was looking into getting some mac's, helps if the techie knows how to deal with them! They then turned into an acadamy and employed a full time techie. So it was a bit of a waste as none of the other schools i look after are even remotely interested in such an expensive proposition (they're trying to make IT cheaper,not spend even more money per unit) Can't be beat on pure quality of the hardware, it is lovely, just wish another manufacturer would step up and make something better. I know when i do replace it i'll be comparing it.. Can't really justify buying another just to run Windows on! I did try using vm fusion at first so i had outlook 'proper' running and my accounts software (another windows only) but found it really dragged.

I do like my mac book, but i have to admit i rarely boot into osx, i have upgraded to Lion to have a play, just always seems hard work doing anything.. Runs nicely with Windows 7 on, with perhaps the exception of the battery life being hit massively.

I can answer one question, press fn and the backspace for delete (always thought Mac's were daft for that, i use delete far more than backspace)

What exactly are you asking us? and i would agree with Pete, ram is cheap, so i wouldn't complain at having 12Gb in a server. Make/model of server, bit more info???

I'd really recommend upping the ram to 2Gb if you want to run Windows 7, the other benefit to a netbook vs laptop is battery life, generally netbooks do much better on that front. Replaced a lot of laptops with netbooks in the schools i look after
