I've got a bit of a mixed setup at home, downstairs is a Sonos setup, in the kitchen I've got a zp80 linked to a NAD amplifier up in the roof connected to some B&W ceiling speakers. In the lounge is another Zp80 connected to a sony surround sound amp, only got it to connected to a pair of kef bookshelf speakers at the moment. But means the ps3 & sky box can link in as well. Got a Sonos touchscreen controller downstairs, but mainly use iphone to control it. Music is stored on server upstairs and connected via sonos zonebridge. Upstairs I've also got a squeezebox for the bedroom and Harman Kardon Sound Sticks II on the main desktop

I think the bigger bushes have been taken down to re-pave. On the left hand side they're virtually identical :S

Yes, I'm also a lucky person who doesn't have to support this strange bit of software anymore. Agreed the support people struggle to go beyond the basic of issues. Saying that the software did have some quite strange problems when upgrading. Mind you, you have to question the logic of calling the client software 'Administrator' Rings alarm bells if you ask me Not helpful i know, but feel your pain!!

I've done this a few times, always just incorporated the admin pc's into the curriculum domain. Removed them from the admin domain, dcpromo'd the admin servers down to member servers, then dcpromo'd them into the curric domain, added the pc to the curric domain. All pretty straight forward, had to change the ip's on the admin servers and any printers that had static addresses. This is presuming they are sharing infrastructure of course...

Quickest and easiest way I've found to remove this, is to boot into safe mode, do a system restore to at least last weekend. Run malwarebytes through twice. Sorted

Why the rush to remove the old server, if you run them leapfrog fashion, you always have two servers in use. The older one can do the simple things like AV, printers etc and still be a dc, dns server etc, meaning if one server goes down you still have basic services

Hello Mate, Like Lapsafe's myself, good solid trolleys, not cheap, but they last and the cable management is good! Even better if you go for the builtin chargers, just get a small fly lead then, very tidy and you know i like tidy!!! Hope you're keeping well

Run it on quite a few personal machines i look after, free, quick, unobtrusive, detects a virus and appears to remove it quite adequately, doesn't recommend you upgrade to a paid for version every 2 seconds, doesn't appear to affect the speed of the machine (unlike a lot of av software) Pretty happy with it

If you want Dell kit without going to Dell, you can buy through a reseller. That way they get the hassle of dealing with Dell and not you!! I use Orchid [email protected] but believe a few of the advertisers on here supply as well.

Hi, One of the primary school's i look after doesn't have room for a whiteboard in the ict suite, but are after a way to demonstrate the lesson to the pupils. I've seen a few pieces of software over the years that can push the display from a teachers PC out to the pupil PC's. Does anyone have any recommendations, don't really need any other functionality apart from that and want to spend as little money as possible on it. Thanks

Hi, To confirm you can add a 2008 server as a dc to an existing 2003SBS domain. One of my customers runs with this setup. Sorry Pete have not seen this error. Could try setting up another administrator user and try that. Is the SBS box fully service packed?

I prefer getting Dell kit through a reseller, don't bother with Dell education any more as they don't ever reply. Used to use them a lot but they have just got worse and worse. Shame really as i really like the usff base units they do which stand on the back of a lcd. Lots of my schools have them as the kids can't pull the leads out!! Plus the dual headphone socket on the speaker bar is a bonus.

One little Quad core Server running Server 08, exchange 07 and a few other bits and bobs. Mainly acts as storage and to push email/contacts/calendar to iPhone and outlook anywhere while on customers sites

yes, i use dyndns to get the domain name and then point at my own server using the customdns service (as i haven't got a static ip) If you have got a static it's dead easy
