AV to hire or permanent solution for Sports Hall Manchester
Andycat replied to mbl's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
I can recommend ProCom AV, they've done a lot for us from lamps, single projectors/screens, right through to our (huge) Assembly Hall. https://www.procom-av.co.uk -
I'd say defo switched off. Virgin have stopped it already (ie we were physically cut off without warning in October!!). Luckily we already had a SiP trunk in.

Hi, has anyone got access to, or have, CTouch firmware for the older models? Access on website is to resellers or Dealers only for the older ones. It's an early 65 LED Touch.

Bets are off for Xmas number 1 then.... -
We've removed all our Push buttons to readers, to stop escapees! As long as they drop on fire, there's no need for push.

Buy through Frameworks. Last 2 winners have been Ergo using Dell All in Ones, 8gb Ram, 24", i5 12th gen. 5 yr on site. As mentioned, reliable build packs (Dell and HP) are a God send for deployment and updates!

Yes, my camel price alert got me in there. I was after the Pro, but they were reduced too.

I'm after some headphones, either Sony MX5 or Sennheiser Momentum 4. if anyone spots anything. Got the camel alert set for Amazon! Also some Tile tags..

Yes it's confusing to an old man like me. We already have CA set up for staff (need an app) and no foreign logins for students. Can't see anything else on the page where they're set yet?

RM, Ergo to add to the list. Or, just put it on a framework. I use Crescent.

We manage our iPads using Microsoft anyway, in InTune/ Endpoint manager whatever it's calling itself today. Cheapest way of doing an MDM for us.

1:1 iPads since 2014(!) * Had 2 WiFi in that time, was 3Com, now Fortinet. 125 access points (AC) nearing end of life but been great. * Dell Core with Cisco everywhere else. 10gb backbone and 1gb Internet. * 1500 students and 140 staff with iPads. Teachers have Laptops too. * Originally E learning foundation for payments etc, but only for first 2 years. All purchasing, admin and repairs handle by the school now. We build in a pot from the contributions and have repairs done locally. We run it where at the end of year 9, they get a new device and parents contribute monthly for 5 years that includes the device, managing it and repairs.

iPad IOS Endpoint Intune Apps stopped updating stuck at waiting
Andycat replied to VBallantyne's topic in Cloud Services
We've had this before, I think you can delete the app (hold down and press cross) then it tries again and works, although it hasn't happened for a while. (also Intune) Andy -

Ah we definitely need to explore this then!

Is this an extra cost on top of Smoothwall?

Microsoft Just tweeted about it

We were told to block them all pretty quickly, although I'm sure there will be a compromise eventually.

Have to remove hikvision from network - any alternatives?
Andycat replied to pooley's topic in Physical Security
Our supplier refuses to install Hik now and installs Hanwah or Dahua at the cheaper end. Chinese not allowed but apparently Korean fine. The Hanwah are effectively Samsung apparently... -
Me too, alongside music making!

Take up an instrument. Join a band!

We have Allen and Heath here, a QU32 but newer models are available. I also personally have a Mackie DL16s. Both very different, but most importantly. both controllable via app which is great for soundchecks/events.
