  1. Projectors here have done between 6-8 years before being almost unusable. I've installed 3 lots in my time here so far. Our CTouch original screens (only a few) are 10 years old and still fine, but being replaced anyway this summer as a whole site refresh.
  2. Projector 215W, 86" Screen 100W. We're having mostly screens put in this summer, but 12 projectors too so I have the figures to hand!
  3. Speaking from current experience, it's cheaper to put an 86" screen in than a projector!
  4. We "rent" our Veeam licences as part of our cloud backup with CT Cloud
  5. We give them domained laptops with AlwaysOnVpn, that routes back through our on prem Smoothwall.
  6. That's the winner so far for colour! Is this an older contract? Andy
  7. Thanks for the replies so far, now more may be back after halfterm, is there anyone else who could share their costs?PrIvately if need be!
  8. Similar to ours, we're currently 0.01999 colour and 0.002 across all devices, including repro machines.
  9. This IS on the framework, but the new framework prices are higher. Our 3 year (CPC) has a 1+1 year extension, at the current price, which is cheaper than those mentioned so far!
  10. Hi, We're just deciding whether to take the extension option on our current operating lease. The vendor says we wouldn't get anywhere near our current cost per click price on a new contract, even with them. Can anyone who is in a contract younger than 3 years let me know their price for colour and BW clicks please? Thanks, Andy
  11. We've used both these companies recently, both cover North/North west. https://www.lucascomms.co.uk/ http://www.dci-ltd.co.uk
  12. We've just installed Bodet for clocks/bells/lockdown at Easter. Costly, but seems good so far. As mentioned, all turned off in exam venues etc. and the Trio had a very readable clock for the size. AutoTimeSystems looked after us, I think they split via regions on suppliers. (We're North)
  13. All on same VLAN yes, new cable decent, but mix of working/not working on new and old. Defo Switch configs I think.
  14. That's interesting. We haven't many Aruba yet. Mix of new and exisiting wiring, PoE yes (They have power, just not getting the config through). Not sure on speed, will check after the weekend.
  15. We've just had a Bodet Clock and lockdown system installed, Trio and Harmony devices etc. Only some are working, and the supplier says it's a network config issue. We don't know where to start really, as there's not really much difference between the configs on the switches yet some work, some don't. We have a mix of Cisco and Aruba switches, with an Aruba core, and the problem seems to be on the Aruba edge possibly? I know a few people on here have this system, can anyone offer advice? My NM has had to walk away today for the hols as it's fried his brain!
  16. I went this year after an absence of about 6 years. I went primarily to look at new displays as we're out to tender at the minute. I thought it was too big, too many suppliers either in suites away from the arenas, or even hotels close by etc. Many people on stands who were just bait, no knowledge at all. I got the info I needed, but in a much longer time than it should have been! And why London? Why not somewhere central?
  17. We've got older kit in ours. Mag locks on every door. CCTV in every room. So far this year we've replaced 4 PC's, had a hole punched in a wall, a radiator ripped off , and a mag lock bent. And 3 staff left. IT is the least of your issues.....
  18. We're out to Tender at the moment, so not sure what's going to come back re manufacturers, but I've heard Clevertouch, Promethean and Newline have all been approached by suppliers on the framework so far. Going to have a look at Bett at their latest models.
  19. I've been there (teaching Tuba!) 4 times in the last 3 years. I stay in a private house, and usually fly from Liverpool BUT on 2 occasions (last weekend being one) I had to get the ferry back as the flights got cancelled. The Liverpool-Douglas route was 4 hours on a new boat (The Manxman) that was quite choppy but comfy enough! The Island is like going back in time. People still leave their cars and houses unlocked, and have a blatant disregard for any law besides drink driving, in my experience. Park wherever, drive however etc. A lot of places are perfectly clean but VERY dated. Equally, some of the posh places are amazing that the millionaires live in. Peel is fantastic, with the best Ice Cream (Davidsons?), Chippy (Next door but one) and a fabulous pub (The Marine) all on the bay. Port Erin is quaint. Douglas is ok, some bits a bit run down but some lovely. Aura on the front is great Curry, Barbary Coast is like a Nandos only better, there are some elsewhere on the Isle too. O'Kells is the "big " brewery, but there's Odin that's started doing some great beers. Victory cafe up the mountain is definitely worth a visit too. The Villa Marina has some good concerts/shows on, but it's quite a good place for general entertainment for such a small Island. I go tutoring, but there's 9 full brass bands on the Island....an amazing amount really!
  20. We now include everyone besides some canteen and cleaning staff. We added in LSA/TA/Site etc. a few years ago.
  21. We bought 60 before Summer. Only had 1 failure out of them (a stick of RAM replaced on site next day). Users have been very happy so far, after previously having HP or Lenovo. At the time the Framework Quotes worked out cheaper for the Stones with twice the RAM and SSD size.

    Ear buds

I've had a few pairs but resorted to a USB C DAC and all my normal headphones. No latency, far better sound!
  23. We've just replaced our core with 2 x Aruba 8320 48 port. FS modules though!
  24. copilot.cloud.microsoft works for us
  25. I think you can now, for £300 a year per user!!!
