Have to remove hikvision from network - any alternatives?
Andycat replied to pooley's topic in Physical Security
Our supplier refuses to install Hik now and installs Hanwah or Dahua at the cheaper end. Chinese not allowed but apparently Korean fine. The Hanwah are effectively Samsung apparently... -
Me too, alongside music making!

Take up an instrument. Join a band!

We have Allen and Heath here, a QU32 but newer models are available. I also personally have a Mackie DL16s. Both very different, but most importantly. both controllable via app which is great for soundchecks/events.

Was a nightmare 6-7.45am, but seems ok now. Network change as usual they say....

Exactly the same here.

User goes on SIMS here, then Locker (was Ruler) connect does everything else set by the contract/start dates on SIMS: AD username Office 365 email address correct licences (ie staff or student) enables account Then disables and removes licence when contract ends Good central point of failure, ie SIMS inputted details!

https://www.procom-av.co.uk/ Used them a few times recently for more complicated lectern AV etc. They do Videowalls in commercial places. Dave Thornborough is my contact there.

I finish today after 4 Pantos and 5 assemblies (IT out of the window) but my lads are on site Wed-Thur, then working from home Friday so they don't have to use holidays even though site is closed. Back on 3rd, kids back 5th. I know a lot of friends who finish Thursday, but have til 9th off, which I'd prefer!

There are some free bits of software that will put an iPad in DFU, I use Tenorshare Reiboot.

Hi, we're booking next years photographers, but the last couple of companies used have sent photos that need cropping, missing ID's etc. Has anyone used a solid company for import into SIMS? Ta!

Yes, months of wait at best

My 2009 Passat Estate (2.0 TDi) does over 50mpg combined, is at 136,000 (I've done 90,000 of those in the last 4 years) and is sweet as a nut with basic maintenance. Nicest car I've ever had, and relatively cheap compared to small cars at the mo.

You can get CPC one's that are pretty decent with the correct connector for Sennheiser.

We're using Smoothwall, and have all the Social Media categories blocked (9/9), but students are still managing to get to Snapchat. No VPN etc, just through the wifi. Any ideas anyone?

We log them in as a locked down exam user before they arrive, and that has a different background/layout and then keep it open on Impero to make sure no logon names change

I'd see what is actually in stock or available soon first!

Yep, I live pretty close but couldn't apply with that salary!

Well, we sort of think that, but it's not really supported anymore apparently. -

Yes, that's what we mean. My NM seems to be struggling with the DMZ bits
