HI everyone, We are looking to migrate our school from Google to Microsoft. We have the capacity with school to manage this but we need a migration tool that can easily migrate emails, files and convert. Has anyone got any recommendations for migration and conversion tools in one? Thanks!

So our HR and Finance are somewhat centralised, I'm not allowed to know the costs, I've already been there and asked. Our department has no "Director of". I'd ideally like to know from other MATs, how they charge the schools, is it done on pupil numbers, staff numbers, devices, infrastructure etc. I'm wondering if it's worth getting quotes from external suppliers to give us a benchmark on how much it would cost to outsource then reduce it so it looks attractive for in house.

We don't GAG pool, therefore the costs within our MAT come straight from the schools budget for IT Support Services Team. IT Support Services Team do not come from the central pot either. How much and how should we charge the schools for a central IT Support Services Team? Keeping in mind that we will need IT Support Technicians, Senior IT Support Technicians and Infrastructure Engineers plus an Assistant IT Support Manager and IT Support Manager. Currently we work on a "contribution" method, but it doesn't work and needs to be changed. As a trust we do not want to out source IT, we want to keep as much as possible within the MAT. Anyone experiencing issues with Papercut Print Deploy? We've not had any issues since initial deployment but this week new devices / new users are getting failed error messages in Print Deploy when the printer try to install. Users that had the printers installed pre september, do not experience the failed message, only on new devices / new login sessions.

During summer we are moving away from our onsite servers to fully M365. The idea is that all servers will be turned off in time for September. We will be fully M365 / Intune / Jamf School (iPads). we’ve got only 1 suite of iMacs (personally want to get rid) but we aren’t really sure how to tackle these…. We need to authenticate all the users via Microsoft 365 and enforce SSO. We’ve managed to get it working fine with Jamf Connect, however, it creates local accounts of which the user has to set a local password so My question is… how do you do it? For those schools that are full cloud?

We've just taken over a school that was using Movie Maker on old devices. These devices have now been removed but the school still want Movie Maker, which isn't happening. What Video Editing tools do you deploy to primary schools to allow them to cut together different clips, add visual and sound effects including music, and title/end credit slides to make a short film etc. Does anyone recommend free, secure, well known software for primary or even better, a website? We are a fully Microsoft 365 MAT therefore, we could use Microsoft tools if available....
