  5. 11" Lenovo Celeron, 64gb MMC and 4gb RAM. Only device available to us. Think I'll wait....
  6. Yes, they've been great with us. Elliot Firth is our account manager. Now doing immutable backups too
  7. I can highly recommend CT.co.uk, Elliot Frith is our account manager and has been great to work with.
  8. We have an IBM Tape Drive in a Dell Loader, and the tape drive just keeps reporting drive failed. It's only 4 years old, and all the physical bits still work. Does anyone know of a repairer for such things??
  9. For bigger purchases, I use both Crescent and Crown purchasing consortiums. Easy, and less work.
  10. I'm so with you there....
  11. It's a different password, available in your DfE portal. Ours were all the same but it was very long and characterful!!
  12. It's a very new thing by the MET office.

  15. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/netbooks-pda-phones/220678-asm-verify-domain-ownership-apple-school-manager.html I think this is the same
  16. Yes we still use them, we have a bin (Like the council big bins) that they collect when needed. Great service
  17. 863.1, 863.7, 864.1 and 864.9 MHz are the usual ones if they're the free range. You have a lot more control if you're licensed. Taxis, Security and all sorts of other radios can mess with the free channels. There are postcode specific ranges that I just can't find for the licensed mics. We've had no trouble once we used those! Good info here: https://www.ofcom.org.uk/manage-your-licence/radiocommunication-licences/pmse/pmse-licence-info
  18. Not just GDPR, but this is pretty thorough (and scary in some cases for your average teacher) https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/information/cyber-security-training-schools
  19. I've only used the simplest of tools really, iPads is easy (1 model and case matching spec of xxxx). The prices you get back may be cheper than shown on the framework. Equally, for other equipment (Projectors was one) someone off the framework comfortably won, but this was just 3 quotes rather than Tender.
  20. In my experience, I go to the CCS framework plus my usual suppliers. You don't HAVE to pick the winning framework supplier if they're not best value. But the exercise ticks many boxes here, and things like our annual purchase of 200 iPads actually are a lot easier through the framework, as the old tender process was harder work for me and the devices are so similarly priced it made hardly a difference!
  21. Would you sell one direct to me rather than the school??
  22. I'm getting quotes at the mo, and I've 5 in front of me, all different, all saying they cover us. It's an annual nightmare.
  23. We've had ours 5 years, but already EndofSupport making the connected UCS and expansion shelf unusable too, without buying another Nimble. We won't be doing that.
  24. We've replaced our 10 year old Macbook Pros with Dell laptops (Good spec) running Sibelius and Mixcraft.
  25. My family are all part of my EE plan, they're all on minimum contracts and I gift my large data allowance to them.
