  1. Do you have a user account for this website: https://sa.education.gov.uk/ui/home ? next - do you have KtS available in the list of applications once you've logged in to that website? next - if all of the above has worked so far you should see Pupil Premium 2017-2018 on the left hand side and the option to download a csv with the information. You can open this in excel and have a looksie at the students contained within it.
  2. it allows you to record the number of sessions attended but not a traditional register. You may want to look at alternative curriculum or SIMS Activities if you want to do that.
  3. Focus - Interventions - Plan Intervention Then to take a register - there's a run intervention button.
  4. more than a small fortune, we've only got it cos someone else renewed it for 3 years without consulting.... At least the SIMS Parent App is fairly useful.
  5. I'd agree but it can't be cheaper than free (if you have hosted SLG). Depending on what happens with SIMS 8 I think I'm gonna be dumping anything but the core of SIMS, the third party products just work better.
  6. Just found this thread - we've just got our site wide wireless sorted and the Teacher App was going to be my magic bullet for sorting out registers for the PE department. So things I've learnt: 1. No android support at all 2. iOS 11 on an ipad mini 2 - not supported A better question might be what it does work on??
  7. I just change the mark, then run history of changes, then change the mark back. it's a horrible - but easy - workaround.
  8. paste the code here for one aspect - but paste both the result and result description so we can spot any differens you may have missed.
  9. you can export the cover to a webpage in the cover module. so if you had the screen just load the webpage on startup it would work, then you'd need it to force refresh every so often.
  10. the widget on the homepage does the job perfectly, and messages the person doing the cover.....
  11. it's mostly a mystery - no reports in the admin page on "last update" no documentation with the schedule. We're still finding the invites going out to be very hit and miss, even testing with the same account!
  12. jmel27 correctly pointed out that you have to publish the assessment reports to SIMS Online - however I did find the attendance played up for a little while, but then kicked into action and started working. How long ago did you try it?
  13. Deleting a marksheet does NOT result in deleting the data. That's not how SIMS works. Does anyone actually require the whole 5 years worth of homeworks to be shown against a student? As Phil and Esteban have both said - result sets will reduce your workload immensely here. Just did some back of the envelope calculations - you could do this exercise with just 7 aspects and 30 result sets if you did it with 7 weeks of aspects and result sets to cover each year/half term combination.
  14. If these are produced by SIMS then aren't they just excel or word documents with a .xml extension?
  15. sorry - to clarify - by demote and promote you simply mean change their english or maths sets (just common examples)?
  16. @Esteban more details please? This would be really handy - I've not seen anything on this before!
  17. Well you'll probably have to contact Capita for a patch everytime then, since you can't delete the login audit trail and that is the show stopper. Who writes this software?!
  18. be warned that you can only actually delete them from staff if they never had any data stored against them. So in practice it's virtually impossible to delete anyone!
  19. groupcall emerge will cache the attendance and upload once you've got connectivity, can't remember if the sims teacher app also has this functionality - both require you to have a pre-existing MIS of course.
  20. I recognise that error message - swear it was a local problem for us, but so long ago I can't remember the solution I'm afraid.
  21. Hi fiza pretty straight forward looking at it on my machine. Presumably the proxy isn't just being used for SIMS validate addresses, so if the proxy has been set through Group Policy then in the screen Tools>Setups>SIMS Services should be set to "detect server from user settings". This should be the default (since they didn't use a proxy before) so shouldn't require you to make any changes.
  22. You're pretty much bang on the money - except there's only certain accounts they can use to login, so office365, google, facebook, twitter or microsoft. Some poor bugger also has to invite them first. Oh - and SIMS best have their details recorded properly or they won't even get an account Their account will also work on sims parent app if you've got that.
  23. but looking at your figures - changing at template level would still require 4 tracking marks x 16 subjects x 7 years worth of changes to formulae to make it work everywhere.
  24. The basic SIMS Assessment Manager manual is going to be your first port of call. https://myaccount.capita-cs.co.uk You need to have an account to get on, it's best if you get your SIMS lead person (who hopefully has their account details handy) to log in and set you up with your own account.
  25. Haven't tested it yet - but i have a guinea pig i can test it on
