HIi - We have set up year marksheets for the head of years. Each marksheet feeds from the subject sheets so that their is an overview for each child in each subject. The heads of year have asked in the teacher's name or initials can be placed next to the subject in the marksheet. Is there anyway of doing this. Cheers

I have to admit, this one caused the air to turn blue in my office this morning. After spending about an hour updating the Pupil Premium indicator field ready to add in to marksheets, I came to export my marksheets (our staff are still insisting on paper copies - I know, I know!) via the usual routine (Tools > Performance > Assessment > Utilities > Marksheets) only to realise that although you can add the Pupil Premium field to templates and makrsheets manually, it's not available as an option via this routine. Please, vote my change request up, it seems like an oversight rather than intended functionality to me: 1309-1212434

Hello! Does anyone know how to implement a traffic light system in marksheets in sims so you can tell if a pupil is below at or above their KS3/GCSE target? Thank you,

Hello, I've discovered the sixth form is writing references for UCAS in word and saving in desktop folders for each student. I feel that SIMS could do this in a comment marksheet/report set up. I have only used it with normal marksheets. Is it the same, or different area to set up? I can't seem to find the right handbook.

I have seen some recent threads on this but I believe the protocol is to not hijack a question thread so I guess it is best to post a new thread. We have a tracking document that shows marksheet grades and brings the conditional formatted grades through , I believe, from the marksheets themselves which compare given marks with a set target grade, ie red - blow target, yellow - on target and green - above target. A student who is targeted for an A* and achieves it get s yellow - I have a notion of changing the green to mean - "above target (or A*)". I have two issues 1. I am not sure how to change this in the marksheets and even more importantly 2. Is there a way of changing this for all marksheets or would it have to be done manually for each sheet? Typically we have 4 tracking marks per year and as many as 16 subjects in a year - and 7 year groups - so I am hoping there is some way it might be easily achieved...

Hi there, New to job of Data Officer at my school; was wondering the best approach to decluttering Teacher's marksheets that have been completed (exam, homework grades, etc.)? My gut is saying just to delete them en masse on the template page. My predecessor avoided telling them to use the "complete" function on their marksheets as they would frequently do it prematurely, resulting in them having to be made visible to them again? Training I've had so far hasn't covered the difference - is there one? Between deletion and completion? From what I can tell it's a small step change that doesn't inconvenience me or get rid of data if they complete it rather than me delete it (I'd have to do this eventually anyway yes?).

Some of our tutor groups have 2 different tutors who share the group. We have marksheets set up for target setting, where tutors add comments after meeting with the students. Does anybody know if it is possible for both tutors to access and edit the same marksheet? I can only see how to assign it to 1 tutor. Both are listed on SIMS as joint tutor. I don't want to set them up as supervisor via course manager as they only need to see their own group, not all of them.

Hello, I have completed the SIMS summer upgrade and now when I click the narrow columns button on a Marksheet and then click the Save button, SIMS hangs. I have tried a couple of different Marksheets and got the same not saving issue. I've logged a call with our SIMS support but wondered if anyone else is experience this problem? Edit SIMS fails to save any changes. This is scary as staff are preparing for the new year with all teachers back in on Friday. Can anyone please advise? I've updated the logged call with our SIMS support but would appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi all,I've searched this forum, and done a bit of googling, but can't find the answer to this question (which must have been asked before - so perhaps my search terms aren't very good!).I've been asked to create a 'broadsheet' for KS5 which dumps every subject's data, from every data drop, into a single mark sheet ready for export to Excel. This is just shy of 380 columns, but SIMS tells me this is too large to export to excel. Is there a way around this, or is it an in-built flaw with SIMS?Thanks

We are a special school, in the process of setting up a tracking system, mainly based on APP. Very new to AM, so sorry if this is an obvious question. Teachers will enter data termly, using integer gradeset. Briefly, a pupil will have up to 10 points in a 'phase', with Phase 4 to 23 each shown in a column. Is there a way for, say, the Spring Term marksheet to show the Autumn Term results so that the teachers can just update the relevant phases? I realise that this could done with Data review columns, but I want avoid having to re-enter all the data for columns where 10s have already been entered.

Hi Is it possible to change the default order of a marksheet in Assessment Manager? I've been asked by our SLT whether its possible to make all of the FSM pupils apear at the top of all teachers marksheets by default? I know individually we can sort a marksheet to make the FSM pupils at the top, however when i close the marksheet and reopen it the order reverts back to alphabetical. In addition they have asked if it is possible to colour the rows with FSM pupils in to make them stand out even more - as far as I can see its not possible to colour a row at all ( I know columns can be coloured) Any ideas - or confirmation that these things aren't possible? Thanks

Hello, I am fairly new to SIMS and this is my first posting EVER on an internet forum so please be gentle with me...! My ICT Faculty Head has 127 marksheets to view - for some reason he can view every single class' marksheet in his department. We only recently went over to SIMS, and I would like it to be more user-friendly and for him to see just the class marksheets that he teaches, plus the overall marksheet for each year in each department. Eg. ICT year 7, and the 1 specific class he teaches, rather than ICT year 7 plus 10 individual class marksheets. Please can someone advise how to change this? Thank you so much...

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm a newbie to SIMS and with no handover have basically had to use the guides to train myself in my new position. Anyway, anything runs fine, but we are needing to add results populated in the marksheets (in aspects) to a report. I have got to the Assessment option and added it, and used the red book to filter with "contains" however it is just showing a count. I would like to be able to pull through the last three cycle target grades for each student. Could someone advise me how, what am I doing wrong. Much appreciated!!

This follows on from a previous thread (import historical grade data, can it be done?) but started a new one as its a new topic. In relation to the assessment structure that I have outlined below, can someone please clarify simply the relationship between templates and marksheets and best practice in making them with minimal effort and maximum flexibility? I remember a data manager complaining to me in the past about the hundreds of templates - or was it marksheets? that they had to recreate each year and it seemed to me that they must be misunderstanding the process and there must be a better way. I want to do it that better way! The new assessment structure the deputy wants is as follows; Years 7-11 will all have 6 assessment points (AP_1 to AP_6) in each academic year, in every subject At each Assessment Point, every student will be scored as integer 1-9 in up to 6 Assessment Objectives (AO_01 to AO_6). The actual criteria for scoring differs between subjects but the name/description of each AO is the same between all subjects and years There will be a single baseline score for every student on entry. I am calling this Assessment point zero (AP_0). It won't change but might be allocated in any year, depending upon when they join the school. Following advice given to me in my other thread, I have: made 7 Aspects, one for each of the Assessment Objectives AO_0 to AO-6. I have allowed scores of 0-9 (where 0 will represent nothing has been entered by the staff) made 35 result sets, one for each yeargroup/assessment point; Year_07_AP_00, Year_07_AP_01, Year_07_AP_02 ... Year_11_AP_06 Now I want to make the templates and then the marksheets. As the assessment structure is the same for evey year group it would appear I only need one template for the whole school but the creation process asks me for Group and Course Link, implying I need a different one for every subject and / or year group. And then do I need a separate marksheet for every class - and have to re-create these marksheets every year when the class codes change? Is that what took so long for the data manager? Confused! Any advice on good template & marksheet creation very welcome. Incidentally also following advice I have assigned categories to the aspects but although I tried to assign all subjects to one aspect by ticking the box next to 'Subject' it didn't seem to do it. Surely I don't have to manually tick each subject category?
