Thanks. This enables me to set up an intervention, add student names etc however I can not see anywhere to mark or take a register?

We have a number of interventions running throughout the school before and after registration, and would like teachers to complete a register for these - similar to how the detention registers on SIMS are compiled. However there doesn't seem to be an option to create any registers or attendance tracking to Interventions - any ideas? I don't really want to set them up as detentions but really need registers to be engineered.

Hi all. I am making a very simple report, customised using RTF document. I have selected that the report be sorted by Year group and ticked the box that requests the page break after each year group. I have the option which I assume I need to add in my report in order to make the page break happen....however no matter where I place it, nothing works! Any ideas. *solved* needed to be the first code in the report.

That's where I am struggling - what I want to create seems to be half available on RTF and half on Word Mail Merge but not together. So I'm not sure how I can create one document detailing what I need.

I have also managed to insert the Incident Type/Subject/Incident Date into a table - but so far each document only displays the first Behaviour Incident of the academic week. On an RTF report I would usually create a table inset RECORD START and RECORD END and everything within my parameters would be there. How can I achieve this on Word Mail Merge?

Thank you - what would be best for me to do next - create the fields for the letter under the behaviour subreport? EDIT: Tried that and when I run the report from the students profile - to bring up an individual letter - the whole academic history appears.

I have ran numerous reports over the past few days and still not getting what I need. I want to send a letter home detailing Behaviour or Achievement incidents for the previous week. I can gather all of this information and display it in excel brilliantly, but when I design an RTF report or Word mail merge it displays all Behaviour/Achievements this academic year as oppose to just the previous week. I have filtered by date and added parameters but still no joy. I am sure SIMS had a template for this report but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Has anyone else done this kind of report successfully?

Bumping an old thread - currently having so many issues with staff creating new detentions or editing the times and rooms of the existing ones! Any solutions yet?

Hi. having set up the report card function on SIMS and generated the report card the final result is not producing what we wished. Firstly a 5 day report with targets spreads across two pages and by reducing the size through printer set up leaves the text too small. I have asked Capita for assistance but yet to hear, is there anyway of editing the report card template - i.e. the layout not the content. It would be good to add the school log, change the font and reduce the header so it fits on one page. Has anyone encountered workarounds for this? Thanks.

Ah nice one. That's great advice. Did you find any glitches in terms of providing SIMS with location or did you just select a particular classroom?

Hi, my school uses SIMS for behaviour management but until now we have not used it for detentions. We are about to start though and I have a question which I'm hoping someone can answer, give advice on. Creating detentions and the system behind it is not a problem, all working well. However part of our policy is that for low level disruption or similar, missed homework etc the student will serve a 20 min detention with the class teacher at their description - usually at lunch or after school. SLT want these logged on SIMS. However this means potentially creating 10 active detentions for each staff member per week! That seems excessive to me and maybe confusing for our move over. Has anyone used a different approach or streamlined this kind of thing anyway.

Hi all. I am trying to produce a document which shows me where one whole yeargroup is during each period. I previously did these using Selection Timetable > Teachers of Year 11 and exported to Excel. However it meant I had to do a lot of deleting, editing as it displays any other yeargroups/classees each individual teacher teaches. Is there a quicker and easier way. The idea is to know which rooms/subjects the students are in each period. Thanks.
