  1. Thanks for that - it's exactly what I thought - it's a shame we can't do 'conduct' in discover, as it would be nice to split into pastoral groups etc. I've got the behaviour team using a report on each pupil and then using pivot tables and pivot charts , but as you said - it's a bit messy, compared to discover! Maybe it'll come in an update
  2. Does this have to be done through the admin utility?
  3. Hi I am trying to create a graph and then dynamic group within Sims discover for our behaviour team, they would to identify and pupils with a negative net conduct score, that is the score when you subtract the number of behaviour points from the number of achievements points. I can obvioulsy create a graph of the pupils with a certain amount of behaviours, or achievements, however if I create a dynamic group for for instance the group of pupils with 51+ behaviour concerns this group will only ever increase as no pupil will lose concerns! Please help Thanks
  4. Thanks for that - i thought i'd been through them all, but finally found it under Reports - Lesson Monitor - Students with selected codes - Periods with chosen codes. then take from the webpage into excel, only slight annoyance is only listing pupils names once which confuses the pivot table, unless i manually copy the names into each row. But i can work with this, thanks
  5. Sadly we're not linking P1 into AM reg, as we do with period 5, because we need form tutors to have the ability to take registers during form period, and this is done as AM reg. this is solved in the future by adding the form time as a lesson, but I'm told this would be too much at the moment so I'm trying to work around!
  6. Hi I am trying to create a report using Sims.net to list all the pupils who were late for period 1 over a peirod of a week. We have a day structured period 1,period 2, then registration, then period 3, period 4 and period 5. This means the pupils late to school are listed as late for period 1, rather than the AM/PM mark which is taken during registration. I have created a report which lists all the pupils with late marks over a set time period (i'm using a week) and it will tell me the pupils with late marks (filtering) and which subject this was for, however I can't figure out how to add the period information to this, ideally I'd like to filter by period 1, however i can do this in Microsoft Excel after running the report. Is there anyone who can help me either create the report in a different way to achieve the same result, or how to add this element to my report. Thanks
  7. Hi I'm helping our attendance officer with a new report, although we know Sims produces many attendance reports itself - currently she is running a report for this week and manually typing it onto a sheet for every pupil to see a cumulative report per week. I am trying to design a report to do all the hard work, in a similar way as i do for conduct. I wish to display the attendance for a pupil over a date range, for example what there attendance was at end of week one, end of week two etc in separate columns. I can do this for conduct by selecting the achievements/behaviours and filtering by date. However when i have tried to do this for attendance it only gives me the current attendance - i cant filter by date. Is there a way to do this?
  8. Thanks for your replies - we've got the information on our system - in a mark sheet but he seems certain it was in Lesson Monitor - just as SEN info appears etc. How strange no one else knows about it.......
  9. We've had a new member of staff join us this September and he asked where the Reading ages and Learning styles column from lesson monitor was when he logged into his register. No one at our school knew it was possible to have this information visible and i cant find any documentation saying how i might add it. Is there anyone who can a) confirm it is possible b) help me out with something on where i can find the setup or how i add it Thanks
  10. I've got one we'rew using, but i'm not very happy with it, I'd love to be able to see what you've got setup to see if its more suitable for us?
  11. Hi thanks all,, adjusting my margins sorted the problem out, what a silly thing causing so much grief Cheers Ieua
  12. Sorry i dont know which SQL i'm using, but when i run a preview my report runs fine, and when I run the report - without the school badge image on the top it runs and merges correctly into the RTF, however when i add the image to the top of the template it fails.
  13. Hmmm.... i think it maybe the machine, although i've got 165GB free, so don't think i need to free much up, and also i've try running it on 3 machines - say issue! I dont really know how to run it on the server itself - is this possible/ simple to do?
  14. Hi When running a report I ran it perfectly, for a whole year group, creating a letter as RTF from sims behaviour data. However today I have added the school header to the template and it wont let me run - giving me the error System.OutOfMemoryException. Anyone know how I can get this to work - presumably my school logo has made the template too large a file to run, can i free up memory? Is it memory on my pc or on the server? Any help please Ieu
  15. As an option in the widget would be fantastic for subject leaders, maybe it'll come in the future......
