Well, I actually only wanted the five minute argument - I hope I’m not expected to pay for the full half-hour? Must admit, I didn’t think you’d bite to that one - thought you knew me better than that!

I get the closure of the Argos stores - if you’re going to buy something out of a catalogue without seeing it, then you might as well buy on-line. But closing the fresh food counters? With the renewed interest that people seem to have in the quality and source of their food, I’d have thought these were more important than ever. The butchers, bakery, fishmongers and deli counters at our local Morrison’s are always busy.

I’d certainly like to watch (and hear) you dealing with that person! (From a suitably safe distance, of course). I suspect that frogdom might be the least of their worries!

Wouldn’t you have thought that if it has occurred to such menial beings as ourselves (no disrespect intended at all, @mikeprice), then one of those idiots at the top of the tree might have thought that one through a bit further? no political replies or responses invited or expected, please: as a) it’s bloody cold in the pond at this time of year and b) my thoughts and feelings on our particular set of ‘leaders’ are already well-documented!

As long as there are less than 6 of them, and they’re all from the same household, then you should be OK. Nice work, if you can get it (although, on second thoughts, it won’t be so nice if you have to pay for them all...)

So, list price of tall Billy bookcase £75, van hire to get it back to ikea +/- £60, receive voucher for up to£37.50 depending on condition. Think I may have spotted a flaw...
