Oh dear! It seems as though those days are long gone when Dudley's parks and gardens department was the envy of the Midlands - we had the best traffic islands and roadside displays for miles!

Aah - but don't forget the two differnt kinds of floppy disc - the 'genuine' 5.25" floppy and the 'new' 3.5" plastic version! (and, before anyone else says it, the first computer in my first classroom wewnt even furhter back - a BBC B micro with a cassette tape drive!) I am SO getting old...

Just wondered whether any of you guys know - do ICT direct deal with private buyers as well as schools, and does anyone have any experience of them in this capacity? I'm looking for a new laptop for my step son when he goes to uni in September, and the budget is tight (to say the least) so thought one of their refurbs might solve the problem. Many thanks, Steve

Sorry - another illusion bites the dust! Couldn't really have said anything else at the time - I hadn't picked up the edugeek technique of multiple (and spurious) badges. Will try to come up with a good one for next year. Preliminary thoughts are centering around "Monster Raving Looney party education spokesman" or similar...
